Chunin Exams: 1st Test

The day that everyone has been waiting for was already here. It finally arrived. All the villages will come as one and display their talented and powerful shinobis for the world to see, and the Chunin exams is the perfect time for each ninja to show everyone what they are capable of. Genma was preparing the things needed for the first part of the exam. It wasn't meant to be answered by genins since the questions asked are jonin level questions. If you're a genius or have experience in the battle field, then you have a chance to perfect the test. But that wasn't the point of the test. It was something each shinobi needs to know how to do if it was needed to succeed a certain type of mission.

"Is it all done?" Ibiki asked his partner while he was fixing his coat. He needs to look intimidating enough to scare of some of the participants in the exam. After all, cowards aren't meant to be shinobi.

"Yeah. 300 papers all in all." Genma answered.

"100 teams eh?" Ibiki smirked. "That's more than last year's participants."

"True. Only 50 teams had the guts to join the exams last year." Genma agreed and tied 3 sets of 100 papers each and gave it to three jonins. The jonins bowed and exited the room.

"Maybe this year has tough kids. We can have fun watching." Ibiki remarked. "I'd like to see some action this time."

Genma chuckled at his partner's unusual excitement. "You'll see action if you watch Rina fight."

"Our student is known for her skills. I'm betting she's the strongest." Ibiki smirked and fixed his hittai-ate. "I'm excited to see our little princess win this year."

"Of course she'll win." Genma patted his partner's shoulder. "She's our student."

Before Ibiki could reply, Anko barged in the room with a dango stick in hand. The two men sweatdrops at their colleague. The only female smiled and offered the plastic container with dangos to them.

"Something to keep you hyper." Anko said.

"No thanks. Being hyper is your forte not ours." Genma declined which made Anko pout.

"Aww, come on."

"No, thanks Anko." Ibiki said and looked at his watch. "One hour left."

"Time to kick butt?" Anko smirked.

The three exchanged smirks. Ibiki nodded towards the two.

"You know it."

"You called for me Hokage-sama?" A silver-head ANBU asked. His ANBU mask was on his side and looked at the Hokage straight in the eyes. He didn't bother wearing it in front of the Hokage.

"Yes, I did." The Hokage said.

"Is something wrong?"

"I'm just worried." Hiruzen confessed.

"About Rina-chan?"

The silver-head ninja received a nod as an answer. Hiruzen turned his back and looked at the village from his large windows. A lot of people from different villages can be seen in the busy streets of konoha. Civilians and shinobis alike mingled with each other. So far it was peaceful. But the Hokage couldn't help but feel as if something was going to go wrong.
