(Daniel's POV)
Nine months later...
Barbara was at home while I was out on patrol with Nightwing. We stopped four robberies, two muggings and one attempted assault. When the last punch landed on the criminals jaw. "Good work honey." I heard Barbara say over comms.
"Thank you Barbara." I smiled.
"Aaahh. Uhh. Peacemaker." She breathed.
"Yeah."
"It's time." Was all she replied with.
"Go on I'll mop up." Nightwing smiled.
"Thanks, Dick." I ran off and headed home. Barbara was waiting at the entrance of the apartment building. I shot out of the car and helped her into the car and loaded her suitcase and wheelchair then got back in the car and headed to Gotham General.
When we got up to the hostpital entrance I helped her back into her wheelchair after setting it back up. I rolled her into the hospital, signed her in and we were taken to the delivery room.

After about five to six hours of screaming, breathing and hand shattering labor. Barbara and myself welcomed our new born baby girl and boy to the world. I kissed Barbara on the forehead as she smiled at me.
"I love you." She gripped my hand and kissed it.
"I love you more." I smiled as I bent down and put my forehead against hers. After we were moved to a nice room. I went out and gave the Bat Family the news.
"Hey, how's Barbara?" Jim asked.
"She's fine. She's more than fine." I grinned.
"How's the baby?" Bruce asked.
"Who said we had just one?" I asked.
Jim, Bruce, Dick and Alfred who came in with Damian. Surrounded me and had shocked expressions on their faces.
"Me and Barbara had twins. A girl and a boy."
"What are their names?" Jim asked.
"James Samson and Theresa Gentry." I said.
"Those are wonderful names Daniel." Alfred said.
"Thank you Alfred." I smiled.
They all headed to Barbara's room and visited with her as I visited my kids. I was allowed into the nursery and stood between their cribs. "My, I never thought I'd be able to have kids of my own. But I promise you two this. That your mother and Iwill protect you and raise you to be good people. And you have some aunts and uncles who will protect you and teach you how to be protectors of others even each other. No matter what happens. You can always come to me and your mother."
"Master Boyce."
"Oh, Alfred."
"Im sorry for the interupption. Barbara is asking for you."
"Okay. Um, can  you?"
"They can do their worst."
"Thak you Alfred." I left the nursery and went to Barb's room. "Hey, guys." I said walking in and walked up to Barbara.
"How are the kids?" She asked.
'Their fine. Alfreds watching over them." Then a nurse came into the room with Alfred in tow bringing our kids to us. I picked up Theresa and the nurse handed James to Barbara. Dick and Bruce smiled as Jim grinned and patted me on the back.
"Very good work my boy." He said.
"Thanks pop."

Three days later...
Barb and I returned home and to our lives. Well, our improved lives with our children. I did more and more work with Bruce and the Bat Family. Even made and improved guns and firearms in my shope four days a week so that way I could spend at least two-three full days with Barbara and our kids. True I do get to see them after patrols and business. But I want my family especially my children to know who their dad is and know that I'll always be there for them. However, they won't know who their parents are when night falls. Not until their ready. Anyway, our lives are perfect as far as we're concerned. But it got so much better when Bruce came to us with good news.

(Barbara's POV)
Daniel and I were sitting in Bruce's locked down office. "Thank you for coming on such short notice Daniel, Barbara."
"You said it was important Bruce." Daniel said.
"Very much so. Lucius has developed an implant that may be able to give Barbara back the use of her legs." Daniel and I looked at each other and back at Bruce.
"What are the odds of it working?" I asked Bruce.
"Very good." Bruce said.
Daniel and I talked for a few minutes quietly to each other and after a bit of back and forth banter. "We'll do it."
Bruce arranged everything and Alfred looked after James and Theresa as Daniel stayed with me.
It took at least three procedures and the healing took four to five weeks to heal. When I woke up I saw Daniel asleep in the chair near my bed. I smiled as I looked at him. He woke up a moment after I did.
"Hey, Barb." He said stretching and yawning.
"Hey."
"How you feeling?"
"Okay."  He leaned over and kissed me. "I'm so glad your here with me."
"I wasn't going to let you face this alone." He told me. I caressed his face and smiled.
"Well, here goes." I pulled my blanket off my legs and turned carefully until my legs hung off the bed. Daniel held my hand and held his other hand behind my back ready to catch me if I fall. I stood up gently and I didnt feel any pain. Or anything. I walked around and I even jumped up and down to test the resilience of the implant and to make sure it couldn't become dislodged. I smiled at Daniel and ran into his arms. Hugging him and kissing him with happiness and passion.

Over the next year...
I continued being Oracle. But never went back to being Batgirl. But Daniel started missing having me with him in the field. So he and Alfred designed a new Batgirl suit that was bullet proof in every sense of the term. In case I ever wanted to go back. And a little bit past our wedding anniversary. I gave him the one thing I knew he wanted even though he'd never say because he put his love for me and our children before above all else. So I decided to give him something special.

Daniel was fighting Mister Freeze's lackey's. I got tired of watching on the Batcomputers monitors and decided to go out. Cause I know Daniel was a tough fighter but going against freeze is a death sentence.

(Daniel's POV)
I was beating the last of Freeze's cronies and I pulled my right holstered revolver and aimed it at Freeze who stood in front of Nora's cryo-tank. "What will it be Freeze?" I asked. "You wife's life or your crime spree." I cocked back the hammer.
"You have no idea who your dealing with Shootist." Then a batarang whizzed by my head and struck Freezes helmet causing a crack and coolant to escape from it.
"I have this all under control Bat...Girl." I looked to my left and to my surprise saw Barbara in her new Batsuit.
"Better close that mouth baby. Your tongue is going to draw attention." Barbara giggled.
"Well, ladies first." I smiled as Barbara ran up to Freeze and started beating him up. Then say like I'm in high school. "God that's so hot." Then I joined in on beating down Freeze. When it was all said and done. The police took him away and I look to Barbara. "I have missed this."
"I know you have, Peacemaker." She smiled as I pulled my bandana down long enough to kiss her.
"How long have you been planning this?"
"I've had an undying ache to get back to feet on the floor fighting with you on the front line." She smiled.
"How long are you going to be back as Batgirl?"
"As long as I can. Sure we have Children now. But I think that we can make time for our kids and our jobs as heroes."
"I wholheartedly agree." I smiled as I put the bandana back in place.

(Barbara's POV)

After we were done with stopping Freeze and done with patrols. Daniel and I went home to our children and spent the rest of the night with our family. I love Daniel Boyce. And I know that he loves me just as much. Aside from our children, our work as heroes gives our life meaning, purpose and a sense of completion.
And as long as we're together. As heroes or a couple. We'll always be happy and content.

The End.
