It'd taken a bit of convincing for Chiron to allow the two to leave camp for a few hours.

No one had really given the impromptu shopping trip a second thought. The two were always close friends after all.

Leo had been endlessly great full to Piper, apologising the second he woke up for what had happened. Piper had immediately shut him up by lecturing him on how she was his best friend and loved it when she knew he was happy.

Now they were at the shops, Leo trying desperately not to slip as he eyed the baby isle with wide brown eyes.

Piper watched, amused. Trailing behind him with the shopping basket as he very seriously decided whether he wanted which colour paci.

Eventually he picked the yellow ones, one with an elephant and another with a bird.

"Now... what else do you want?" Piper asked, looking from the sippy cups to the teethers.

"I thought we were only getting the pacis?" Leo asked, desperately wanting to put the plastic in his mouth.

"I promised you anything, weirdo. So let's get you some more stuff!" Piper grinned at the short boys dazed expression.

"You don't need to do all this, Pipes." Leo muttered, face heating up.

"I'm your friend, Leo. It's what friends do." Piper smiled, a little sad when she remembered a conversation much like this back in Wilderness school. A similar situation was at had and when she'd pushed, he'd revealed a bit about his past. How he'd never really had friends who'd do anything but use him to get something. Families who'd give him the bare minimum to survive with.

It was that conversation that made piper determined to be the best fucking caregiver there was.

Leo was still hesitant so Piper went forward and grabbed a yellow and purple teether. She remembered back in Wilderness, how he'd always chew on things and decided it'd come in good use.

"No piper dooon't!" Leo whined, feeling incredibly guilty that someone was going through all this trouble just for him.

"Leo, tell me, do you want more stuff?"

"Well yes, bu-"

"No buts!" The multicoloured eyed girl cut him off grinning. "Treat yo self."

Leo snorted at the meme, giving up and grabbing the lavender coloured sippy cup. "Treat yourself."

"You want anything else?"

"Uh..." Leo looked down the isle and spotted something he'd desperately wanted, feeling his little side ache for it as much as it did for his paci. "Blankie."

Piper just grinned. "Treat yo self.
