The sky was clear with no sign of a single cloud in sight. The wind blows a gentle breeze over the water to create soft waves and fill the air with its salty fragrance. He watched them splash in the cool waters while relaxing beneath the shade of a tree and a book in his hand. The book was soon forgotten as memories flooded his mind.

Six years had past and there were times he couldn't believe it.

Six years since the war had ended and the last titan slain. Humanity no longer hides behind the walls that shielded them from the dangers of the outside world. Thousands had left the walls to start a fresh start while others, untrusting of the unknown, stayed behind.

Levi could, and would, never forget the deaths, the struggles, betrayals and doubts they all went through. It all seemed helpless at first but with his family by his side, he knew everything would eventually pull through.

"Papa!" His son waves from his spot in the water.

Both his son and husband smiling and motioning for him to join them.

"I don't know what is in that water so, no," He replied bluntly.

"Awe, come on Levi," Eren called out with a grin "you always use that as an excuse. Ingel and I are perfectly fine, so stop being sure a sourpuss and join us!"

Before the man could retort the two made their best puppy-dog eyes and pleaded with him to join. He hated it when they did that Knowing full well that he could not refuse them. Defeated. Levi discarded his shirt and shoes and slowly approaches the water like it was diseased. Stepping into the cools waters he instantly felt a little refreshed, not like I'll admit it out loud.

After playing a couple of more hours in the water, the trio decided it was time to head home. Their house rested on top of a hill that overlooked the wide ocean. Behind the house was a stable and barn. The nearest town was a few miles away. It was small but still growing every few months at a time. All that mattered to Levi was that there were peace and quiet.

In the beginning, it was just the three of them and a few others in the area. Eren had told Levi of his dream to live by the ocean. It took about a few months for them to find said ocean but worth. And about a year later the town started to grow which brought a lot of interesting resources and foreigners to the coast, but that is another story for another time.

They washed the sand off their bodies before preparing dinner. Ingel helped cut the vegetables while Eren baked and Levi chopped up the turkey. Once everything was done and cooked, they set the table and sat to eat.

While they ate Eren started up a conversation. "Jean invited us to his wedding."

"Hmm, so he finally got over your sister huh?" Levi hummed.

Eren glowered. As if he'd let that two-legged horse ever date his sister. Not in a million years. Levi chuckled at the expression on his husband's face. You'd think after years of fighting alongside each other you'd think they'd settle over their differences. Even when Ingel came into the picture they seemed to get along just fine without having to argue or converse with their fists.

"And Armin found a new land again," Eren added.

Armin had been traveling since the last titan fell. He and a few other adventures made it their mission to try and map the whole world. The young man kept his friend updated on all of his adventures.

"Mama, can we go on a trip too?" Ingel asked.

The parents smiled. Ingel always wanted to go on an adventure ever since they traveled to find their dream and Armin sending souvenirs from each place he went.

"When you are a bit older," Levi said.

"Awe and how long is that gonna take?" Ingel pouted.

Eren tilted his head in thought. "Hmm, about ten to fourteen years."

Ingel groans complaining that'll take too long. Levi pats him on the head.

Once finished with their meal and the dishes were cleaned, the three of them said their goodnights and went off to bed. Well, one of them did.

In the Parent's Bedroom

"Levi," Eren moaned as his husband nipped and sucked at his sensitive skin. "Ingel is down the hall."

"Yes but he's asleep, I made sure of it." Levi grinned.

The two rarely ever gotten much "alone" time together. They loved their son, truly they did, but somehow when his parents about made love to one another, Ingel would suddenly wake up in the beginning or towards the middle of their activity. So to be sure that they'd get to be alone even for a few hours, Levi slipped in a bit of sleeping medicine in Ingel's drink.

"You sneaky bastard." Eren chuckled.

For a few hours, it was nothing but passionate love between the ex-corporal and the ex-shifter.

While in the middle of changing their sheets after had been cleaned and redressed, there was a soft knock on the door. Knowing who it was, Levi opened the door to see a teary eyes Ingel.

"I had a bad dream," He whimpered.

Ingel's night terrors weren't as frequent or bad as his early years but they still sent Ingel running to his parent's room. Levi lifted his son in his arms and crawled into bed with him. Eren crawled in next to them to wrap his arm around his trembling son.

"La la lu, la la lu

Oh, my little star sweeper

I'll sweep the Stardust for you

Levi and Ingel listened to Eren's angelic voice as it filled the room.

La la lu, la la lu

Little soft fluffy sleeper

Here comes a pink cloud for you

La la lu, la la lu

Little wanding angel

Fold up your wings, close your eyes

Ingel lets out a yawn as he snuggles up closer to his mother. His eyes grew heavy and the thought of the nightmare slowly lifting from his mind.

La la lu, la la lu

And may love be your keeper

La la lu, la la lu, la la lu~"

Both parents looked down to see their child fast asleep. Levi kissed his head and then Eren on the lips.

"When you two entered my world, you've become the new purpose in my life." He confessed.

Eren intertwined their fingers above their son with a warm smile on his lips. "As well as mine."

With that, the two drifted off to sleep to be ready for a brand new morning and another adventure soon to come.
