"damnit y/n, you leave this house one more time, don't bother coming back!" my mother shouted, i nod then ran upstairs to my bedroom, searching for a backpack or duffle bag.
as i found one, i started throwing random pairs of clothes in it. five minutes and i was done. i also grabbed any school related belongings i needed.
after packing, i walked downstairs to see my mother bawling her eyes out, but if this is what she wants, she's got it. she looked at me with sorry eyes, "where are you going, y/n/n?"
"away from here, you're a perfectionist, but get this through your head, ma, we're from the southside," i stated as if i was nothing, we've been through this so many times before, i'm tired of it, i'm tired of pretending to be perfect when i'm an obvious outcast.
"fine, leave like your father did, you're just like him," she scoffed.
that was the last straw. "yeah, i see why he left," and with that being said, i walked out, slamming the expensive house door, in hopes of something breaking, other than myself.
i made my way back to the southside, the snakepit, or whyte wyrm to be specific, where my aunty beatrice worked. as i walked into the all too familiar bar, the smell of cigarettes and alcohol hit me soon after.
making my way to the counter, i was stopped by a tall, raven haired boy. "hey northie, you lost?" he asked cockily, i scoffed in response.
"don't ever fucking call me that," i warned before walking past him. i saw my aunty, she had an ear to ear smile on as soon as she saw me. i sat on a barstool, dropping the rather heavy duffle bag next to me. "my sweet girl, what are you doing here?" concern filled her voice as she asked me.
shrugged, not knowing how to put, 'oh ya know, my mom disowned me, can i crash at your place tonight?'. "is it your mom?" she asked curious now, i nod.
"your mom has been the type to temporarily push people away, she's done it for years, she'll come around again but for now, you can stay with me," beatrice assured me. i mouth a thank you to her, she saved me all my life and i truly an thankful for an aunty like her. "and since i know riverdale high is high maintenance, i'll help you make southside friends," she told me.
very soon after, she called a girl with pink streaks over and introduced us, her name's toni topaz, and i'm already liking her, as a friend. next was a boy named fangs fogarty, he was cute but he isn't my type, and lastly was the guy that called me a "northie", his name is sweet pea.
"does that represent your brain size or something?" i ask, sarcasm taking over me. he rolled his eyes before saying, "i'll take it easy on you since, your and my aunty are together." a smile formed it's way into his lips soon after.
