The Dimension Ch. 3

Chapter 3

Kevin's P.O.V

I walk back to my house with Kim. My hands are shaking with fear at the thought of what my mother is going to do when she sees Kim. I pretend that I'm fine while talking to Kim, but I think she knows I'm scared. 

We reach the house. I open the door with hesistation. My mother yells, "Kevin? Is that you? Can I talk to you for a minute?". I walk into the door frame of the sitting room, blocking her view of Kim. Her eyes look at me with worry, "Have you heard?" She whispers. I shake my head "Heard what?".Her eyes widen with disgust, "Kim is back in town. Have you not seen her? Seeing as you've been going to that portal everyday since she left last time." I pretend to do a shocked expression on my face, "What? She's back? But, how did I miss her?"...

My mother gets up off the couch and walks over to me. She pushes me to the side and says "Hello Kim" looking down her nose...

Kim's P.O.V

I knew that Kevin was blocking me on purpose so his mother wouldn't see me. He pretends that he hasn't seen me at all. Next thing I know, his mother pushes him out of the way and says "Hello Kim" I think I see a vein in her temple bulging out with anger. 

Kevin whispers to me "Will you wait upstairs in your bedroom for a while?" I nodd, and I sprint up the stairs.

I had to listen what she was going to say, so I left the door open and listened.

She starts off,

"You are a very bad liar you know." She says with a touch of anger.

He says "Look, I don't know why you dislike her but please don't do anything."

She laughs histarically, "Oh honey, you know I can't do that. You are arranged to marry a rich girl when you turn eighteen. Your father just threw his money away, the fool! He even let you have a relationship with Kim, even more stupid!" 

Kevin shouts at her "DO NOT CALL HIM STUPID! At least he had a heart unlike you!"

She laughs again, "Yeah that's probably only one feature he had, it's useless! It would have been better if he had money! I don't want Kim here, and this time I'll have my way. I knew exactly what was going to happen the first day she sat foot in this dimension! Ye two are going to fall in love and I won't get my money! So, she will be sent away for the rest of the two weeks and be brought back to the portal to leave forever!"

Kevin fights back, "Hah! I won't fall in love with her, we are best friends! Plus, she's older now, she will remember to come back in two weeks and there's nothing you can do about that!"

This time, she laughed like a witch. "Haha not if I get the village witch craft person again to perform a spell that will erase her memory as soon as she leaves!"

Kevin suddenly realises, "That's why she didn't remember me... You put that spell on her eight years ago so she wouldn't come back! You snake! I hope you rot in hell! I will refuse to marry that rich girl if you send her away and put that spell on her! Let her spend the two weeks here with me, and I'll promise to marry the rich girl..."

His mother thinks for a minute, "Ok, fine. She will stay here for the two weeks, but you must marry the rich girl."

There was silence until I heard Kevin coming up the stairs. He opens the door and sits down on the bed beside me. He askes me, "Did you hear?" I nodd. I respond, "She's awful.". He nodds. He gets up and he opens the closet and takes out a pair of pyjamas. He throws them at me and says "Goodnight" as he lingered out of the room.

I suddenly then feel a load of memories come rushing back. I remember everything now. I put on my pyjamas and crawled into the the bed. I knew I wasn't gonna sleep because I decided to watch all those memories like a movie...

Well...now we've found out why Kevin's mother doesn't want Kim around!!! oooooo!!
