I throw my bag over my shoulder.

"Again, thank you for inviting me," I say to Artemis. She looks like a twelve year old. It feels weird calling a twelve year old ma'am. I look at my hand. I'm a nineteen year old who is already engaged and do too be an immortal in a little over a year. My life is extremely weird. Even for a demigod

"No problem. I figured the wife of Apollo should know how to shoot," she says.

"For Zeus," I hear ringing through the woods. Thalia is here. Great. The hunters and I line up along the forest. Our clothes blend in to the scenery. I grab a arrow and set it up. I wait for Artemis' command. I look more closely at who the manticore has with him. Two kids I don't recognize and Percy. Annabeth, Thalia, and Grover are help fighting it. I look at  Zoë, the lieutenant of the hunters. She looks like a Persian princess with her dark brown hair and a silver tiara. She blows into a horn that is either made of animal bone or horn. Artemis lets an arrow fly. It finds itself into the shoulder of the creature. The manticore stumbles back.

"Curse you," he shouts. He shoots a dozen spikes towards us. The rest of us let our arrows fly. Some slicing the spikes in half, others hitting the monster. But nothing kills him. The hunters and I enter the clearing.

"The hunters," Annabeth shouts in joy.

"Wonderful," Thalia says sarcastically.

"Liz?" Percy asks. I ignore him.

"Permission to kill, my lady?" Zoë asks Artemis. But she still has her eyes on the manticore.

"This is not fair. Direct interference! It is against the Ancient Laws," the monster shouts.

"Not at all," Artemis states. "Zoë, permission granted."

"If I can't have them alive, then I'll have them dead," he shouts. The monster lunges at Thalia and Percy.

"No," Annabeth and I shout. Annabeth jumps on the monsters back and stabs her knife in his mane. She holds on for dear life.

"Get back half-blood," Zoë shouts. "Get out of the line of fire."

She doesn't listen.

"Fire," Zoë shouts.

"No," I hear Percy yell. Arrows fly towards the monster. He falls off the edge with Annabeth. I run to help her, but Thalia holds me back. I try to get out of her grasp, but I can't. Tears start streaming down my face. Annabeth is pretty much my sister. I have to help her. Percy is at the edge of the cliff. He is planning on jumping after her. Artemis is trying to convince him it is a bad idea.

A helicopter appears. Machine guns go off, firing at us. Thalia holds up her Medusa shield, blocking both me and her. A dust cloud forms. After it settles, the helicopter is gone. I wipe the tears and walk over to the hunters. We pitch up the tents and start a fire. The silver tents are in a crescent moon shape. I sit on the ground and watch the fire flicker. Just like the fires at Camp. I miss that place. I have already graduated school, so now I'm learning the important things on how to be a goddess. Percy sits next to me.

"Why were you with the hunters?" he asks me.

"Learning how to shoot a bow properly and getting to know my future sister-in-law," I tell him.

"I knew you wouldn't join them," Thalia says across from me.

"I couldn't live without Apollo," I tell her. Zoë walks up and gives me a nasty look, but I ignore it.

"Artemis wants you," she tells Percy. He nods his head. Zoë leads him to Artemis' tent. I look at the new boy, Nico, who must be eleven. He has olive skin, dark black hair, and dark brown eyes that are cold. He is playing a game. I think it's called Mythomagic. I lay down and close my eyes.
