1 day. That was how many days there was until your life would change forever. You thought that your life was over, you would be miserable forever. You wanted to go to college for music or no school at all but that wasn't an option with your parents.
"Go to school for law or you will be unsuccessful,"
Those words rung through your head as you exited the airport with your best friend, Stella. You were moving into an apartment with her while you both went to Columbus Ohio University. She was going for music while you were forced into law.
"So," Stella said trying to spark conversation, "there is this small band playing at this venue and I was wondering if you would want to come with me?"
You thought for a second 'I would love to get into some new music and support local bands, but I need to focus on college'
"I don't really know, I should really focus on getting prepared for college or I won't be successful and," you trailed off.
"Hey," Stella cut you off, "we got a month until school starts, you can take one day off of contemplating life, and you can still change your major!" she said trying to help you calm down.
"Stella, you know I can't change my major," you sighed.
"Who said that? Your parents? Come one Y/N! This is the rest of your life we're talking about, do you want to waste it away doing something you hate?" She said.
You sighed, "Let's get out of this airport then we'll talk about this some more,"
The entire ride to your apartment was silent. Once you arrived you dragged all of your things up the stairs and down the hall until you both reached your door.
"Here we are," you started, "as soon as we walk through this door our lives will change," you smiled, you knew what you had to do.
"So what time is the gig at tomorrow?"
