The Night Before
It was Friday night as I was about to go out but I made sure my nephew, Jaehyun was asleep first. I checked and closed the door silently so he wouldn't wake up and think it was some ghost in his room or go around the rooms to look for me.
I got to the door and locked it, ran quietly down the stairs so my bothersome neighbors that always stayed up doing who knows what at night wouldn't come and complain at the littlest problems.
I got out then as I was about to take deep breaths before committing a crime the wind hit me in face unexpectedly.
Rude
I was planning to steal gold fishes for Jaehyuns birthday since he loves them even though all they do is just swim around and eat in a beautiful and expensive aquarium.
When I arrived I checked the time on my watch to see if they were closed, which they weren't.
I sighed in relief cause I had time looking at the gold fishes.
There were so many pets and toys, I started thinking if I should get a dog instead since they did something productive unlike fishes.
I went to the other areas which had a lot of fishes in small tanks, flowers and other random things you put in a tank which I didn't know anything about.
Nothing interested me but I kept walking trying to find something since I came here for a reason.
But then something caught my eye that made me stop at my tracks. There were 3 golden fishes in the prettiest fish tank I've seen. It had purple and pink lights shining through the edges which made want to buy it instantly before anyone else did.
I admired every inch of the tank and the fishes before thinking of snatching it and running away with it like a maniac.
I went to the owner and asked for help to see how much it costed hoping it would be cheap or they'd give me a cheaper price while my clueless brain knew damn well that wouldn't happen cause I only had 3 dollars and a few cents with me
unfortunately it was wasn't an old man or an old woman that I could outrun of so I started to get disappointed on why I couldn't have just gone and bought something else for Jaehyun but I couldn't give up on him again since I told him it last year that I would buy him anything and I had already promised him that I would buy him fishes.
so I decided to try and make him believe that I would buy it and hopefully he'll fall for it.
" yes ma'am how can I help you? " he said in a polite voice. " I would like to know the price of these fishes " I said hoping it would be cheap.
" oh you're buying golden fishes? for who? " he said interested .
he didn't even answer my question
" yes but may I know the price please " I said sternly and clearly annoyed.
his smile faded away and turned into a bitch face and what he said next got my jaw dropped to the floor
" 300 dollars "
