CHAPTER 1

"OH MY GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO GO TO THE CONCERT!" screamed Beatrice.

"Yeah, I know. You've been talking about it for months" I remarked.

My best friend Beatrice Fernandez and I were just lying on my bed talking about her favorite band.

"I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE GONNA TO SEE ONE DIRECTION" Beatrice kept on screaming.

"Calm down...there's still one more week to go. You won't even be able to talk to them." I said.

"YE-yeah you're right," she breathed out, "but seeing them perform is enough."

"I'm sorry...I didn't wanna disappoint you. Cheer up again! I'll be with you listening to them singing for HOURS so you won't be alone," I stood up and walked towards the window. Thousands of shiny lights covered the skyline, "stars are so pretty. I don't look at them often enough." I stated.

"You don't have to go if you don't want to, Jessie." she replied, ignoring my last comment.

"Well too bad cuz we already paid for the tickets" I looked at her.

"Well then GET READY FOR THE BEST CONCERT EVER" she grinned.

"Okayyy" I sighed, turning back to the dark sky illuminated by tiny specks of light.

Well, I'm doing this for her, I thought.

Suddenly, a small flash of light skips across the sky.

"BEATRICE! I JUST SAW A SHOOTING STAR!" I exclaimed.

"WHERE?!" she scrambled out of the bed and ran towards me.

"Well, of course it's gone now!" I rolled my eyes.

"Ugh, lame." she went back to the bed.

I scoffed and stared at the spot where the star shot across. I quirked one corner of my mouth and closed my eyes. I wish we can meet at least one of the band members of One Direction at their concert so Beatrice can finally be satisfied, I wished in my head.

"Um...Jessie...what are you doing?" asked Beatrice, "you're not wishing on that star are you?" she chuckled.

"Pfft...of course not," I laughed awkwardly, "come on. We should go to sleep."

"Alright" complied Beatrice while we both climbed under the sheets.

And with that we both fell asleep with the concert on Beatrice's mind and the wish on mine.
