CHAPTER 2
After one week of school, it was finally Saturday and it was the day of the concert. There's only one more week of school left 'till summer break which I'm so hyped up about! School was always pretty boring. I wasn't popular or super smart or beautiful. I was just a pretty average girl in her junior year in high school. I did have a few boyfriends, though they weren't serious. None of them had a spark I was looking for.
I woke up around 12 and stayed in bed for about another 20 minutes, not having the energy to get out of bed. Beatrice was at her house, coming over in a few hours so we could help do each other's make up. I've never been a huge fan of One Direction, but I guess they're alright. Beatrice talks about them ALL THE TIME. Especially Zayn Malik. She absolutely had to go to their concert when she found out they'd be close in our area.
I finally jumped out of bed to go downstairs to the kitchen.
"Morning, mom." I yawned and rubbed my eyes.
"Morning, Jessie. Do you have anything planned for today?" asked Mom.
"Yeah, I'm going to a concert with Beatrice at 6. Why?" I replied while getting cereal and milk and some bread.
"I was just hoping we could go out to eat for dinner. Just the two of us while Dad is out working." Mom sighed.
"Sorry, Mom! I promised Beatrice I would go....can we go tomorrow?" I questioned.
"Sure" Mom replied.
"Awesome!"
I quickly finished my breakfast and went in the living room. I sat down and texted while flipping channels for a couple of hours. I realized it was three and ran upstairs to take a shower, After I was done, I went to dress up. I just slipped on this light, red summer dress. a white jean jacket, a gold purse with a flower in the middle and black flats because I wanted to wear something comfortable while standing for a couple of hours. (Outfit on side)
Beatrice got here at four and wore a white One Direction shirt and this black chiffon short in front, back long skirt with a gray clutch bag and black heels. We helped each other put on make up: just a little mascara, eye shadow, lip stick, and blush. I glanced in the mirror. I was American with long and a little wavy dirty blonde hair and grayish eyes. Beatrice was Mexican and Chilean and had long wavy, black hair and brown eyes.
We left at 4:30 just to get there a little early. We got to this dome-looking stadium pretty quickly and went inside. We handed in our tickets that we ordered months before concert. There were a couple of thousand people here, I would've guessed. Most of the lights were off to create an effect and the entire room was pretty loud. We walked to our seats and just talked for a little while, until all the lights turned off. Then the thousands of fans were screaming insanely. White lights were flickering in every direction and the guys appeared from under the stage. The screams became so much worse,
"OH MY GOD IT'S THEM OH MY GOD OH MY GOD" Beatrice started screaming and breathing hard.
"Yes, I realized. Calm down, Beatrice" I flinched as some girl from behind me screeched.
"DON'T YOU TELL ME TO CALM DOWN, JESSIE, I'VE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR THIS" she started tearing up a little.
Eh...I guess I'll let her have her moment, I thought.
After the concert was over, Beatrice was practically bawling.
"THEY WERE SO AMAZING" she wailed.
"Yes, yes, now let's go." I urged.
"Alright..." she grumbled.
There were too many people leaving in the same direction, so we tried finding another exist through some old looking doors. We kept walking and walking and it seemed kind of far before we realized we were lost.
Don't panic, don't panic, I thought to myself, we should be fine.
We went door after door; It seemed like a maze. Finally, we found burst through these doors and found the backstage area. It looked like everyone was cleaning up and trying to leave.
"Um....where exactly are we, Jessie?" Beatrice whispered to me.
"I think we're backstage" I whispered back
"What?!" she whispered-screamed at me, "Do you think they would be here somewhere?"
"I don't know. Let's just walk around. Just try not to look suspicious." I started walking forward.
We were just walking around, until I noticed a couple of security guards coming around the corner.
As quickly as I could, I grabbed Beatrice's wrist, ran to the nearest door, ran inside and tugged her with me, and swiftly closed the door. I pressed my ear against the door and listened to footsteps fading away.
"Security guards" I explained to Beatrice.
She nodded in understanding.
"Um...can we help you with anything?" a British accent said.
We both whirled around.
It was One Direction.
