••• Steve's POV •••
" You may go see her now. She will be fine and with our new and advanced technology, she should be completely healed within 2 to 3 days." The Nurse said. I quickly nodded, thanking her, and made my way into the room.
There she was, laying on a bed in the medical room. I watched as her gorgeous e/c eyes fluttered open. I let out a sigh of relief and made my way to her. "Hope I didn't scare you too much Cap" she said softly.
"Are you kidding me. I was worried sick" I replied, not wanting to tell her that I had been on the verge of tears when I saw her body first carried in. I heard her let out a soft laugh and I looked at her, a small smile forming on my face.

She laughed softly and sat up. She felt a bit dizzy but it went away after a second. "You probably shouldn't try to get up" Steve said, not wanting her to possibly injure herself . "No, I'm fine. Really. I feel great" She replied, ignoring the soreness in her side where she had been shot, and stood up with the help of Steve, who really didn't want me to disobey the doctors but also didn't want to anger her or have her get hurt by walking by myself.
There was still quite a bit of pain, but she pushed it to the back of her head when she greeted the team. "Thank god your okay" She heard Wanda say and she hugged Y/n. Natasha hugged her next and then they had a group hug that consisted of everyone.
Y/n sighed and said "I'm going to go lay down in my room. If you need me, I'll be there" she said and Steve helped her down to her room. He then insisted that he carry her because he 'didn't want her to get hurt'.
Once we made it to her room, he gently layed her down on the bed and she covered up with the blankets. Steve turned to leave, but she stopped him. "Stay. Please" She said softly and he turned around. "Of course" he said and made his way back to the bed. He layed down next to her and she moved closer to him, laying her head on his chest.
Soon, she fell asleep and so did Steve.

She woke up to the light, soft sound of Steve snoring. His hands were gently wrapped around her waist, keeping my close to him. She decided to get up, even though it was dark out because she really just needed some alone time. She tried to slowly sit up without waking Steve, but he just held her tighter. The more she tried to get out of bed, the tighter he held on to her and soon she was pressed against him.
"Steve come on. I really need to get out of bed" she said. He made a noise and let go. She got out of the bed and her side was still sore, but it was easy to ignore. She threw on a sweatshirt and a pair of leggings along with some boots before making my way outside. The chilly air felt nice since she had on the boots and sweatshirt.
She walked down the sidewalk that wasn't busy since the sun was just barely showing and the sky was still pretty dark. She walked to the park and found a bench and sat down, putting her head in her hands and just letting out a deep sigh. She was deep in thought before hearing footsteps getting close to her.
She jerked her head up, tense and ready to fight but then she realized it was just a tall, slim guy with dark brown hair who didn't seem like a threat. She still stayed on edge though. "Hey, I was just walking and saw you sitting over here and I wanted to know if you were alright" he said, standing in front of her. She picked up a bit of a weird vibe from him.
" yeah, I'm fine. " She said, hoping he would walk away. Instead, he did the opposite and sat down next to her. He scooted a bit too close for comfort and put his arm around her shoulders. She glared at him. "Well I should probably go. My boyfriend is probably worrying about where I am" , picking his arm up and pushing it off herself. I stood up and walked away before the guy could even say anything.
That was the first time she had called Steve her 'boyfriend'. He hadn't formally asked her to be his girlfriend, but he had asked her on a date and then they had gone on that date together so she figured they were dating. Right?
She didn't feel like going to the chaotic tower so she found a tall building and sat at the top, watching as the sun rose. Suddenly she felt the presence of somebody else. She quickly looked behind her and saw Steve approaching her. She smiled and stood up, walking over to him. He let out a small sigh of relief and said "you had me worried. I didn't know where you had run off to" he laughed slightly to lighten his mood. "Sorry" She said looking up into his eyes. "The sunrise is gorgeous" she said, looking off at the sun rising from the horizon. "Not nearly as gorgeous as you" He said and then she watched his eyes flicker to her lips before he suddenly leaned forwards. Their lips met as the space between them became smaller. Steve wrapped his arms around Y/n, pulling her closer to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. This was the moment she had been waiting for. Her first kiss with Steve. Butterflies filled her stomach and she felt like her heart could flutter away. She blushed as they pulled apart, looking into his eyes. "That was amazing" Y/n said. Steve smiles and said "yes, it was. It was amazing" he smiled.
