"Snips?"

She wasn't here either.

I was starting to get worried. It's been hours since our final meal ended and I still couldn't find her anywhere.

"General?"

I looked behind to see who called. It was Rex.

"General, you seem very tense. Is something wrong?"

"I'm just a little concerned about my padawan. I can't seem to find her anywhere. Not even in her own room."

He looked a little confused for a moment "Uhm...I assume she hadn't informed you."

Huh?

"Informed me of what?"

"She's out on a mission. The council wanted to test her after all the training she had taken, and so she was assigned a task requiring her to go to Cato Neimodia, and wipe out the Seperatist mark over there."

Oh a mission. I suppose that's alright.

However, Cato Neimodia? Isn't that where Padmè and that traitor Clovis had gone for the supposed negotiations with the Neimodians?

I mean, I know Snips is a unique one, but this is an entire colony on which we have pretty much no data on, that she's supposed to ambush. Alone, too.

"Cato Neimodia? We don't know anything about the Seperatist colony there. Didn't the council think that it might be a bit too much for her?"

"Actually, it appeared that she wanted quite a challenge as she wanted test where exactly she stands. So what was meant to be a test, turned into an assigned mission as well."

I turned fully, indicating for him to continue.

"Since we have no information on that colony whatsoever, she was assigned to gather as much as she can, and the testing segment would be how she would use that information against the Seperatists, and erase their mark.

This task was actually supposed to be assigned to General Luminara, General Phisto and well, you. Possibly along with Sire Kenobi himself. However-"

"Wait, why were so many of us to be assigned? We could've simply arranged a spy to gather intell on Cato Neimodia if we would've gone, and then one of us could have finished it off."

"Well, one of my brothers was injured on the way back and had seen Cato Neimodia. There were enemy warships flooded around, everywhere. Meaning that it was an open announcement that they had completely sided with the Seperatists. Commander Tano had seen it as quite a fitting test, and decided to go for it."

"You mean she's going alone?"

"...Yes, sir. Since this is a test based solely on her skills and intelligence, she had decided to go alone. With some ammo, of course."

I gritted my teeth.

That dummy. What is she thinking?

She's talented and brave for sure but couldn't she see that-

"Sir, I know what you're thinking."

I looked at him.

"I know what you're thinking, but she chose it. The council had given her simoler options but she chose this one only and so, the council assigned her the task since we needed the intell on Cato Neimodia as soon as possible anyway.
