Monday came around faster than you could say 'weekend'. It was 6:00 am when Danny's alarm clock blared and annoying beep. With half opened eyes, he pulled the duvet off of his shirtless body, and went to the bathroom to get ready for work. Danny showered, brushed his teeth, combed his hair, threw on his uniform, and grabbed his keys. Passing the kitchen on his way out, he grabbed an apple for breakfast. He locked his apartment and walked to the parking lot to his car.

Danny clocked in, but just before he got a chance to head to his office, a man and a woman came running in. "Please, you have to help us! Our daughter is missing!" The woman pleaded.

"Ma'am, I need you to calm down and sit over there. Well have someone with you shortly." The receptionist, Jean, told the couple.

The woman had tears in her eyes and she was shaking. The man, who Danny guessed was her husband, was trying to comfort his wife as best he could, but you could clearly see the tears forming in his eyes.

Danny was about to walk away when the woman called out to him. "Officer! Please, you have to help us. Please!" She fell to her knees, begging, pleaded for Danny's help. Danny felt something in his chest that he hadn't felt in a long time. Pity. He felt sorry for this couple.

Danny crouched down next to the broken mother whose hands covered her eyes as they poured salty water. He placed a hand on her shoulder to let her know he was there, "Okay. I'll help you find your daughter."

Hearing this, the woman snapped her head up and looked at him with so much hope in her eyes. He had worked on a couple missing persons cases in the past, they were all just teenagers running away from home to escape school or their parents. However, there was something about this case that gave him a gut feeling: this was no runaway teen.

Luna sighed as she tried waving down another taxi. Each one just passed by as if she weren't there.

"Ay Carajo!" She cursed to herself in Spanish. She was  fifteen minutes late for work already! She stomped her foot in the sidewalk and began walking to work.

When she reached the Shop & Shop building, she took a deep breath, preparing herself for the lecture she would receive from her boss for cooking in  an hour late.

Just as she predicted, her boss met her in the staff room where she was putting her things away for the day. He began lecturing her about being late for the third time this week and some crap about how she should be better at costumer service.

She sighed to herself for the umpteenth time this morning. This is going to be a long day. She thought.

Danny led the mourning couple to his office to talk in private about their daughters case. Handing them each a cup of steaming hot coffee and motioning for them to have a seat. "So, lets start with your names. Shall we?" He spoke.

"Finnegan and Anne Williams. Our daughters name is Jane." The man, Finnegan answered.

Danny nodded as he grabbed a notepad and pen, writing down everything he would need to know about. "How old is she?" He asked them.

"She turned 23 May 1st. Here's her picture." Anne handed Danny a photograph of Jane.
