Today was a good day. I could already tell as soon as I woke up. I heard some birds sing and the sun peeked between my curtains. I stepped out of my bed and opened the curtains. A ray of sunlight punched me right in the face. 'Goodmorning.' I said to myself. I thought about the Prof. Today he was going to be back at work. It was Tuesday and I hadn't seen him for 3 days. I hoped he was better today so he could focus on the new case.
I ate some breakfast, got dressed and packed my bag. Then I left the apartment again.
I walked into the Mystery Room and saw Alfendi sitting at his desk. 'Prof! You're back! How are you feeling?' He looked me right in the eye and smiled. 'Hey Lucy.' He said calmly, that was Placid, for sure. His hair was calm purple. He had a pen in his hand and a bunch of papers laying on the desk. 'I'm feeling great, thank you.' He stood up from his desk and walked towards me. 'I heard you solved a case on your own yesterday?' He said proud as he stood next to me. 'Not quite, I got a little help from Florence.' I said blushing. 'Good, but Florence told me you did most of it yourself.' 'That is true.' I said.

POV: The Prof.Placid was trying to show Lucy he cared for her. And surprisingly Potty continued to be quiet.
'I'm so proud of you.' Placid said as he smiled again. Lucy blushed a bit, and Placid saw that. Although Potty didn't say anything, he was indeed there, in his mind.
'Look at that, you made her blush. I'm going to throw up.'
'Shut up, Potty. I'm trying to show her that I care. It's okay if you don't but I want to show her, if you like it or not.'Potty muttered a bit but said nothing. Lucy broke the silence with asking: 'Do we have another case to solve, Placid?' Placid was glad she recognized him. 'Yes, it's about...'
Placid began to tell her what case it was this time. It was a difficult one, but together they could figure it out. It was about a women, named Hillary Hazel, who was murdered while on vacation. In the end her ex had murdered her with a branch.
The case was solved and the culprit was caught. Potty didn't show up at all, which was good in Placid his opinion. Although he didn't show up, it didn't mean that Potty wasn't trying. He loves a good murder.
Placid carefully placed the files from the case on top of the bookcase. He turned around and saw Lucy packing her bag. She was facing the other way.
'She's beautiful.' said Placid in his mind. 'Oh please...' said Potty, clearly annoyed. 'You do agree with me, don't you?' asked Placid. Silence. Potty was irritated by Placid and he decided not to answer. 'We should take her to a cafe or something. She'll like that. 'I don't know if she'll like that. I can imagine how annoying it would be to talk to you. And I don't think it's a good idea either.' 'But look at her. She's so sweet. I think she deserves a break from her hard work.'
With that said Placid stepped towards Lucy and asked: 'Lucy, would you like to go to a cafe or something..?' Placid was really nervous to actually ask it. 'Great, if I could I would cut your tongue right now. Don't be so nervous man, it's no big deal. We shouldn't have done this in the first place, actually.' 'Well, you can ask it if you really want to?' 'No thanks.'

POV: Lucy
My mind was a complete mess. The Prof asked me to go to a cafe with him!? I could see his hair shift colors as he was waiting for my reaction. I think that Potty wasn't okay with Placid's decision.
'Do you both want it? It seems like Potty doesn't really agree.' I asked. 'Yes, he does agree with it.' Placid said. 'No, I don't.' His hair quickly changed to bright crimson and Potty crossed his arms. 'If you really don't want to...' I was a bit disappointed, but I had to respect his decision.
I think that Potty saw that I was disappointed, because he said: 'Okay, okay, fine. I agree. We'll go.' I smiled. 'Who'd have thought that you were ever going to agree to such a thing?' I asked while giggling. I was teasing Potty a bit. 'Let's go before I change my mind.' He said, and we walked out of the Mystery Room.
It was still sunny outside and it was around 4 o'clock in the afternoon. We walked to the cafe further on the road. The Prof walked behind me and I could feel his eyes on me. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable. The Prof went faster and was now walking next to me. His hair had returned calm purple and he glanced at me with a smile. 'So, how was yesterday?'
I thought about yesterday. It was a horrible day. I had missed the Prof so much. 'I could handle it. But it wasn't easy. I... I missed you... kinda...' I couldn't believe that I actually said that out loud. 'I missed you too, Lucy. It was a quiet day without having you around to tell me all kinds of stories.' I was blushing. But then Potty came across. 'I enjoyed being alone for a day. It was nice and quiet. You talk so much.' He said as he looked down on me. I felt a little sad, because of what he said. But it was Potty so... The Prof his hair turned calm purple again and he said: 'I'm sorry, he just doesn't want to admit that he missed you too.' He blushed a bit. I tucked a strand of hair behind my ear.
We walked inside the cafe and we walked to a little table for 2 people in the corner. Placid walked towards one of the chairs and moved it backwards. 'Madame.' He said and gestured towards the chair. I laughed and he laughed too. 'Placid, I didn't know you can be such a gentleman?' I said calmly but giggling. Placid blushed a bit but then his hair changed to crimson again. 'Yeah, don't get used to it. He's the fake, remember?' Potty definitely looked irritated. 'Okay, I'm sorry. Just mentioning that he is a gentleman. Obviously you aren't.' I shrugged. 'You little... Argh.' 'Potty, seriously, you need to calm down.' 'How can I calm down when you are so annoying?!' 'Well, you agreed on going out with me.' 'I agreed to go to the cafe with you yes, but this is not a date, Lucy Baker.' He said, clearly annoyed and irritated. 'Okay, fine.' I said and grabbed the menu.
We didn't say anything for a while. I ordered a cup of tea with a chocolate muffin and the Prof had just a cup of coffee.
Finally his hair turned calm purple again, I sighed. 'I'm so sorry Lucy. Potty is just being really grumpy.' 'Well, he can try to be a little nicer. That was not really enjoyable.' 'I am so so sorry. Please, how can I make it up to you?' 'Just try to be nice okay?'
I took a sip from my tea and Placid took a sip from his coffee. I could literally see him thinking. His hair was changing colors really fast. It was like if Potty and Placid were having an argument inside one head.
'Prof, take a bite from my chocolate muffin! It's delicious.' I grabbed my fork and moved a piece of muffin onto the fork. I put the fork in his mouth. 'That is indeed delicious! It's a pity that Potty ordered. Otherwise I had gotten the same thing.' 'You two should try to agree. You are always having an argument or a disagreement together. It's not fun, you know.' 'I agree, it's not fun. And we try to make it work, we really do. But we are like complete opposites of each other and that's when it becomes really complicated. But honestly Lucy, we do care about you, we both do.' I smiled. 'I care about you two too.' Underneath the table I felt a leg against my leg. His leg twisted itself around my leg and teased me a bit. I laughed. I was also blushing really hard.
I ate my muffin and drank my tea, the Prof drank his coffee and we were good to go. 'We had a rough start, but in the end it was really fun, we can do it again sometime? If you like?' I asked and smiled at the Prof. 'It was a nice time. And I bet that deep down inside Potty also thinks that it was great. And sure, I would like to do it again.'
