I almost let out a whimper, or a scream, when the woman stood, and slowly walked to me. Now, 1 foot away from me, stands, a surprising sight. I didn’t expect Minnie to be exactly like this. Actually, I didn’t even think of Minnie other than a helping hand. But, before me she stood. Her description, most, simple?
She was about 3 inches shorter than me. She had straight light, light brown hair, pulled back in a bow exposing her whole face. She had pale skin, a cute little button nose, and somewhat large, but not very classy, black glasses on with small bright green eyes behind them. Light thick eyebrows and she looked about 36 years old. She also looked like she weighed a pudgy number. She wasn’t all that round, but, she definitely wasn’t skinny. She at least had a neck though. All in all, she looked, somewhat, adorable.
“Who are you?” She squinted at me. She had a sweet Irish accented voice. That’s what he meant by accent? “Are you the one who sent me that message? How’d you find me? Is this a hoax?”
“Alison Marie Bennett, yes, message on book and bribery, no.” I said shyly.
She squinted at me a bit more. She then smiled and turned around. She was wearing a comfy green t shirt and blue jeans and had on sandals so I could see her pink painted toe nails. I smiled. She seemed fun.
“Come on over here and sit yourself down. I’ve got some sweet tea if you want any.” She pulled out another chair and rolled it beside hers and then set herself down, bending one leg and sitting down with it on the chair and the other hanging. I swallowed then walked over to the seat for me. She poured me a cup of tea and put it next to my body beside her desk.
“Thank you.” I took the cup.
“Now. I know your name, I believe this isn’t a hoax, or at least, I want to. But, what in the world would a pretty girl like you want to know about time travel?”
“Uh.” I blushed. “Uh.”
“Well, we’ll just leave that bit aside for now. But tell me. Why’d you want to meet with me? How’d you know I wasn’t lyin’?”
“I, guess, I’m desperate?” I smiled a bit.
Minnie laughed. “I didn’t expect anyone to come! Imagine how surprised I was to see you walking in my door. You said you got my email address through bribery. Are you rich?”
“Oh. Not really. Um. You don’t recognize me?”
Minnie put her head on her hand and looked at me. “No. I don’t think so. No.” She slowly shook her head but then took another look at me. She pushed my leg with a smile. “No way! You’re her? The girl who saved that nutty actor?”
I looked at her and almost responded but instead just nodded and shrugged. I leaned in a bit and she did the same. She was quite, friendly. Very nice. She’d make a great aunt. I swallowed. “Can I, ask you a question?”
“Please do.”
“I’ve, already wondered, if you were for real. Believe me; I didn’t expect to be here either. At least, not really. But, since I am, I wanted to know, why you, don’t agree, with that book.”
“Book? The time travel one! It’s ridiculous. All these methods of going back or forward in time. Stupid. To the max.”
