"Hey I'm Nikki, your Emilia right"
"Yeah who's asking" I say sniffling my nose while stabbing the peas on my plate, and roughly rubbing the end of my nose
"No, no, no ones asking, I was just making sure"
I look up and I'm sitting with a maroon haired girl, looks 5'8, grey eyes, glossed lips, and has a big smile on her face.
"I saw you crying, and I decided to be a good friend" she says roughening her hair.
"Oh thanks, I really need to share my feelings with someone", I say, while moving towards her and wrapping her around my arms.
"Oh, wow...that was unexpected" she says, while giggling slightly
"Sorry, I just feel like being cuddled and cared for, I really feel hurt, and like an idiot", I pause, whilst sniffling my now stuffed nose" I need some advice", I say as she rests her arm on my shoulder and my head is being tucked into her neck.
"Uh...don't worry, you don't have to cry, I'm here for you. Oh, and I saw that little she devil Kim bullying you, what's up with you guys?"
"Look, I don't even know her, she just thinks I'm gonna steal her boyfriend or something, besid-"
I am cut off by an anxiously worried Nate.
"Emilia, please just let me explain" he says while grabbing my palm, and now lacing our fingers.
"What do think you're doing Nate" I say while yanking my hand back to myself .
"I'm not even meant to be speaking to you Nate, after what you've done, and now you think I'm the fool that would just let you use me,...I don't think so"
"No Emily, sweetie, its not like tha-" he is cut off by my shh
"No, don't even start with the names Nate, look I'm not even meant to be talking to you, c'mon Nikki, let's go" I yell while dragging her wrist, as we exited the cafeteria.
We both speed walk through the hallway, as Nate chases after me, and wraps his
arms around my waist, now holding me captive.
"Let go of me Nate " I yell while struggling for my freedom.
"No, please just let me explain ", I take a deep breath and calm down, as he begins his so called explanation.
" Look, when I left the class, I went out to cool off and prevent myself from not breaking anything. So when the bell rang, Kim was running towards my direction, as she wrapped her arms around me, and kissed me. She pulled us both into a corner, I was still in shock of what had happened, so it took me a moment to process what had just occurred. Then the next thing you know, I came back to my senses and shoved her away, and that was when I realised you were standing in front of me, so now do you understand" he says while gently loosening his grip
"I'm so so sorry, it was all just a misunderstanding,...you know I can't bare you not speaking to me, please" he squeals, particularly emphasising on the 'please'.
"Fine" I huff, as he gives me a deep peck on my cheek, which makes my eyes unconsciously widen.
"Sorry, Emi , I'm just so glad that we made up" , he says, as i still try to understand that nickname 'Emi' .Nikki staring at us with an arched eyebrow.
"Is it just me or am I lost in space" she says as we both echo
'Its just you', we both say, as we lock eye contact, and I feel his hand wrap around mine. Oh God, I'm blushing again.
The rest of the day is spectacular, as I explain me and Nates whole story to her, I think I'm actually beginning to like him, I mean he's the only guy I always notice, there's no time I'm around him and I don't blush, and I also have goosebumps, which is very odd for a person like me, who rarely cares about guys.
