Chapter 5

[Point Of View Cassie]

The Next Morning 

I Woke up from my sleep.I looked around and saw it was dark and everyone was sleep except Jin, His bed was empty. I reached for my phone then I remembered it's Kung Jin. He's not really a technology dude. I got up out of bed and carefully walked out without waking anyone. I thought to myself 'if I were Kung Jin where would I go?' I shrugged and decided to check the courtyard first. I took a step, suddenly a arrow stuck into the floor. I looked up and Jin sitting in a tree, twirling another one in his fingers. "what's up cage? couldn't sleep either?"

Cassie: kinda, I just kept on having this dream.

Jin: what was the dream about?

Cassie:  The course we failed today. I keep on imaging. I lost everyone of you guys.

Jin: that's not as bad as mine.

Cassie: really? lay it on me 

Jin: You know how they taught us in the primary history classes about the event Armageddon?

Cassie: yeah, My dad use to tell me it as a bedtime story.

Jin: huh? that's horrifying. He's pretty fucked up

Cassie: no, like as a learning lesson for me to be good. I always believed it wasn't true. Until my mom told me in all the dark details dad refused.

Jin: How you know they weren't lying?

Cassie: MY MOM DOESN'T LIE...Plus Jacqui's pops is living proof of it.

Jin: No way! 

Cassie: I'm serious Jin. I know I joke about a lot of fucked up shit but this one is true. I won't throw dirt of my best friend's dad. Plus he's like my dad too. He had a lot of influence when it came to raising me. Besides Kung lao was one too, you know this. right ?

Jin: yeah I do. I wondered why we never able to get Lui Kang as well.

Cassie: rumor has it, that him and the former princess of Edinia resides in Hell and tortures souls down there. 

Jin: DON'T SAY THAT! He wouldn't turn to The Brotherhood Of Shadow. 

Cassie: Geez, I  said rumor. Don't get your panties in a bunch ma'am. *laughs*

Jin: will you quit with the gay jokes already. I've been hearing it from you all after class. 

Cassie: that's because you were such a bitch getting that green slim out of your hair. It got on us too  you know 

Jin: that's different. Takeda probably doesn't care about his hair. and you and Jacqui didn't take a big hit because she has braids and you have a bun. 

Cassie: Okay stunt queen. *laughs* I'm sorry that was the last one. I promise. May I ask one thing?

Jin: go

Cassie: how are you feeling about Jacqui and takeda being a thing ?

Jin gave me a cold glare and hopped down from the tree and began to walk away. I yelled " hey, Jin! that was a question." He ignored me and kept on walking. He's still hurt by it. It only has been three days since they started dating. I also got to remember Jin was a closet case before I got him to tell me. meaning that was probably his first time having a crush with a guy. hmm I got to be more sensitive when it comes to him. His bad attitude. But I wonder if our dreams could mean something. Maybe I'm looking to far into it.

[point of view Kung Jin]

I walked the grassy fields. Cassie's words circled in my head. I don't hate her for bringing it up. She's right after all. I'm not mad at Takeda, he was even nice enough to kiss me after I kissed him on his cheek. I wondered why didn't he hit me. How is my relationship with Jacqui going to be? I deserved to be with him. What makes her so special. She's looks like any other African American female that lives in the city. She's looks so boring. Not to mention her attitude.
I stopped walking and fell in the grass and looked at the moon. I tingled as the tall stalks of grass brushed against my skin. The tall grass reminded me of home. "Well well well." I heard a familiar voice. I got up from the grass and saw punk Lin kuei from the chow area the other day.  "What do you want ?"  I asked. He walked up to my face and said "You was with Takeda right?" I stared at him and nodded my head. "Answer me !" He yelled. I smirked and said "I bet you don't get a lot of respect within the shira ryu, am I right ?" He went to punch me. I dodged him and backed up. "Did I strike a nerve?" I asked. The guy growled and throw a smoke bomb to floor.
I couldn't find him. Suddenly I felt hands grab underneath my arms. I heard laughter and saw the guy walking up to me. "Not so tough now ?" He asked. He punched me in the stomach causing me to cough up blood. The other guy kicked my ankles bringing me to my knees. I began to laugh and said "you needed to bring back up huh ?" The other guy grabbed a hold of my hair making my scream. "Did he say to talk back? You're coming with us. "
