Best Friend's Brother (Kagamine Len x Reader)

Chapter Five

*Miku's P.O.V*
After a long shopping trip around the mall, (Y/N) and I had finally got the chance to sit at the food court and relax. The evening became surprisingly hotter than the afternoon and even Kaito's ice cream wouldn't make me feel cooler.
I glanced at (Y/N) and watched her as she sipped her (F/F/T) smoothie. She stared down at the middle of the table, making it easy to tell that something was on her mind. I couldn't help but break the awkward silence between us.
I cleared my throat. "So no luck in finding any shoes for the party?" I asked her randomly. Gosh, Miku. Find something interesting to talk about. But it was too late to change the subject.
She looked at me casually. "Nah. I think I'll just go with my high-tops," she answered and my jaw dropped.
"No, no, no," I protested, "It's a party, you're not going to the movies." She raised an eyebrow.
"I know it's a party but heels are just not my thing, Miku," she replied and gasped. But I eventually let it pass. So I changed the subject.
"Rin and I were wondering if we should invite all the Vocaloids for a sleep over after the party," I told her and a smile appeared on her face, she looked excited.
"That doesn't sound like a bad idea," she said before taking another sip of her smoothie.

*Len's P.O.V*
(Y/N). Then (Y/N) again. And again! I buried my head in my pillow and screamed loudly. Moments later, I heard the door-knob of my room twist and it yanked open. I glanced at the door-way to see Rin standing there. She looked pretty upset.
"Oh, hey Rin," I said and sat up.
"Is there something g-going on with you and (Y/N)?" She asked me but her voice kept cracking.
I sighed. Lots of people from Vocaloid had asked me that on the way home.
"No," I told her, the same answer I told the others.
"Don't lie!" She yelled at me.
"Rin, you have to chill," I said, "Why are you getting so worked up about this anyways?"
"Because I don't want her to get hurt," she answered and my eyes widened, "You've broke so many hearts, Len. But this is my best friend and-" I cut her off.
"So you believe in the rumors?" I asked her, anger building up inside of me.
"Everyone did," she replied.
"And you don't believe in me? Your own brother!" I told her, my voice rising up.
"Len, I've seen you make out with a girl before and the next day, she runs past me crying!" She said.
"You still have no proof who made her upset," I replied but she shook her head.
"I saw you standing from where she started to run from and you were staring at her," she added.
"Rin, what are you saying?"
"I know that you're a player," she said.
"That's not true!" I shouted at her.
"Yes! It is!" She shouted back, "You play with girls' emotions and throw them away like trash!"
I felt tears growing in my eyes. What did she know?
"I do it for my reputation!" I blurt out. Rin looked at me and a tear rolled down her cheek.
"You heart-breaking bastard!" She shouted right at my face, "You care about no one but your messed up self! You're so selfish! I wish that you never even were my brother! Girls are complaining to me that you broke their hearts and they believe that I'm the one who made you break up with them! They think I don't want them to steal you away from me!" More tears rolled down her cheeks and I just sat there, extremely stunned.
"Rin, I-" I began but she cut me off.
"Save it!" And with that, she ran out of the room in tears.
Have Rin actually been considered as the reason I've broken up with all my previous girlfriends? I feel like a total idiot.

*Your P.O.V*
I looked at the outfit that was lying on my bed. Today was the day of the concert and I can't help but feel a nervous feeling grow inside of me. What if I fall off the stage? Or fall on Len again? Ugh, I would look like a total fool if that happens.
Then I heard a knock on my door. "Come in," I said.
I turn to the door to see Rin and Miku. They frowned.
"Why aren't you dressed yet?" Miku asked me.
"I don't think I can do it," I told them. They stepped in the room.
"Oh, (Y/N). You have to do it!" Rin encouraged me and I smiled.
She had been acting really strange lately and I'm starting to wonder if something happened between her and Len. They would always glare at each other when one of them make an approach towards me and I wonder why.
"Okay, I'll try my best," I told them and they walked out of the room happily so that I could change into my outfit.

We got in the building and I got led backstage by Miku and Rin. We were up next and I peeked at Luka and Gumi's routine. They were pretty good.
"Wow..." I heard a familiar voice say in awe from behind me. I turned around and saw Len wearing his outfit.
"Oh hey, Len," I said, trying to hold back the blush.
"You look amazing," he complimented and I smiled.
"Thanks," I replied.
Then the music stopped and that meant we had to get ready. We waited for Rin to come out of her changing room and finally, she did. She was wearing the same as me but hers was yellow while mine was (F/C).
We all heard music start and that was our cue. We ran out and began singing.
