Skyler's POV

"Look don't freak out, please I'm not here to hurt you-" I began as my mate cut me off. He was trembling and walking in circles. He's literally freaking out, I didn't mean for him to freak out this much. On the other hand, I'm just leaning on a tree waiting for him to calm down.

How the hell am I paired up with a human?

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN DON'T FREAK OUT? you turned into a wolf.  A Wolf! And I-" my mate's eyes bulged as he shouted at the top of his lungs. The sweat forming on his forehead was so sexy, it made it look like his skin was some kind of ... I began to walk towards him to remove the sweat from his forehead when he swat my hand away.

Alright.

"Can you listen ?!, that wolf I Just killed, was about to kill you! If it hadn't been for me, you would've been dead by now, so thank me?"

  My mate started laughing historically after a few minutes of silence and mumbled " I can't believe this"

" You might as well tell me vampires are real" he scoffed. I didn't answer him. 

" Wait are you kidding me? They're real too?"

" I mean they are, but they don't cross over to our territories" I softly mumble. Vampires and werewolves have been co-existing together for a long time. It's just we never actually shown ourselves to humans. I noticed in the corners of my eyes that my mate started walking away from me and I came back to reality.

" Where are you going?, it's not safe out there" I muttered . I had to bring him to the Alpha. He knows too much, even though the castle has been in shambles. They'll still punish you if you intentionally show yourself to a human. I on the other hand, I have a pass, because I've showed myself to my mate and not any other human. The Alpha wouldn't say much about it. The pack rules are and I mean every pack has this rule sent by the Castle, if a human finds out about werewolves. He either gets killed or pleads loyal to werewolves. Where the human is watched twenty-four seven. Since he was my mate, I would explain to the Alpha of this pack, why my mate had seen my wolf form and about the rogue.

" I'm going home, wolfgirl" he replied back, I swiftly jogged to him and grabbed his arm gently. I looked straight at his piercing gaze, and quickly looked away.  Why did he have to be so damn good looking. I had to get myself together so I turned back to him.

" And where is home exactly?, what's your name?" I asked curious, while I crossed my arms on my chest. His eyes awkwardly gazed at my chest a little longer then three seconds.

" I'm not telling you where my house is, and my  name is Chris"

" Chris? mmm, Anyways Chris, if I were you I wouldn't tell anyone about this encounter you've had with me or your family will be next" I turned my gaze at the rogue on the ground lifeless. I really had to leave before the pack members got here! 

"I won't, just leave me alone" he backed away from me.  I turned around shaking my head when My senses quickly caught on the scent of werewolf who was about five minutes away. I quickly walked to my mate again and he back away as if I'm the predator.

"Listen, I'm not going to hurt you but you have to promise me not tell anyone about this about what you saw" I say, annoyed at why he doesn't trust me, when I'm the one who saved him.

" You just killed an animal, what makes you think you won't kill me. I have to get away from you." He shook his head frantically and wouldn't let me be near him. As my friends got closer, I changed my mind to bring him to the Alpha.

" You have to promise me!" I commanded.

His blue orbs twinkled at my voice, finally I heard him whisper I promise. I try to take a step towards him but he flinches away

" You're scared of me ? Don't be because I won't hurt you. Think of me as your protector, I'll be there when you're in trouble I promise. Now run. My wolf friends are coming and they're not friendly" I smiled up at him as he was 6'2+, he softly looked back at me one more time before his feet took him far away from me as they could. I need to get on his good side to tell him we're mates.

In minutes, two pack members, my friends and Hunter came running in their wolf form. I smirked in their direction as they all shifted from their wolf and changed into the clothes they had in their mouth.

" Can someone throw me a dress or a sweater, this shirt isn't practically covering anything" I said while I turned around from them and hid in the tree. I felt someone throw me a white dress near my feet as I sadly wore the dress over my mate's shirt. I made sure to hid his scent all over my mine. I didn't want him to be in danger anytime soon. I got out hiding behind the tree and faced my friends.

" What happened? We were following the scent of the rogue when we suddenly didn't smell it anymore."

" You're blushing!, Skyler Lynn never blushes" Laila Norman loudly screeched as she jumped up and down excited.

" Agghhhh my ears, this rogue almost killed my mate. I mean it, it was as if it was here on your land to kill my mate." I explained to Hunter, I kept my gaze on him as he was deep in thought. I noticed how his nose kept sniffing the air. I knew their might've been a tad bit of my mates scent in the air.

" I smell a human's scent, it's been lingering around here, care to explain that Skyler " Hunter turned towards me, looking furious.

" Wait did you just say mate? Where is he ?" Laila and Ava both looked around curiously. I sadly wrapped my hands around my self.

" I told him to go home, it wasn't safe and Hunter for your information, my mate happens to be a human, who almost got killed by that rogue!" I say as my friends all go into mini Shock.

" How can a future female Alpha be mated to a Human." Ryan shook his head, clearly thinking , ways or possibilities of having a human mate when you have Alpha blood in you.

" It makes no fucking sense, it's Rare." Ava silently mutters.
