Something wasn't right, My wolf was going crazy.

I immediately ran to the pack territory after Staying over at my mate's house. My arms felt like they were about to fall of my body.

I felt weak.

It was hard to breathe, and I didn't know what was wrong.

So the only thing, I did was run to the pack territory and check in with the pack doctor.

And here I was, with my head spinning and sweat dripping off my shoulders. I was laying down in one of the beds for patients.

"You have silver in your system" Lillian, The pack doctor says without beating around the bush.

" But how?, And how long has it been in my system?" I ask slowly,..

"For about an hour" she replies while handing me water and a pill".

"An hour? But that's not possible, I haven't eaten anything.. Wait.. I had breakfast with my mate at his house.." I knitted my eyebrows in confusion as I take the pill from her.

"Are you sure you didn't get injected with it? Or perhaps ate something with silver ?" Lillian says as she crosses her legs over each other and looks down at her paper.

"I'm pretty sure I'd feel it if I ever got injected with silver but I'm not sure about the food, I'd have to check it" I couldn't believe what I was saying, but the only thing I've been thinking about was the pancakes I had with Anna.

Had my own mate poisoned me with silver? I shake the bitter thought out of my head.

He wouldn't, Alexander wouldn't.

"My instincts were right before and I think I'm right today" Lillian, continues as she gently takes off her glasses and glances at me.

"What?, what is it?" I ask hesitantly

"I'm right about your mate being poisoned with Silver" She says as I try to piece all her words together.

She continues talking once again as she realizes I hadn't replied yet

"When you brought him in yesterday, I checked his blood and there was indeed, silver in his blood"

"Why didn't you tell me?" I ask nervously, I sit up from the bed and slowly face her.

" I just had a hunch, I wasn't sure, so I did more tests" she replies as I feel the pain in my head slowly fade away.

"My instincts are telling me his neighbors are dangerous, Their dog is a freaking werewolf, they're treating her/him as a slave" I tell her while biting on my lip, I was sometimes shocked at how my mouth had no filter.

"I suggest you go to Alpha Hayden with this information because this seems serious"She replies seriously.

"Of course, I'll check in with him,.. but Why would Alexander even have silver in his system, he's not even a Werewolf?" I mutter curiously, while gulping down some water.

"Are you sure he's 100 percent human, there's no other reason he'd have silver in his bloodstream"she asked while staring at me intently.

"I-Well of course, he doesn't have a wolf and he smells of human." I reply unsure of my own words.

"Here, Take this medicine to get it out of your system by tomorrow and for your mate, just put a pinch of it into his food"

"I'll try-" I began before she interrupted me. 

"And find the person who's behind this, see if your mate is aware of it or not"

I tie my hair up in a ponytail as I wait for Alpha Hayden to open the door to his office. I've basically waited five minutes and I know for sure there's movement going in there.

"Ahhhhh" a very loud feminine scream echoed through the walls. With my guard up, I immediately push down Alpha Hayden's door as I let myself in.

I thought someone was hurt or something.

I ridiculously embarrassed myself, in front of Alpha Hayden and....

Who wasn't his mate.

They were going at it and I cockblocked them just now.

" I-I'm so sorry, I knocked a few times and I Heard a scream" I whisper clearly embarrassed.

But who was this? And why was Alpha Hayden cheating on his Luna?

"I'll just come back later then" I whisper awkwardly, while turning around. The lady with the brunette hair was putting her clothes effortlessly and taking her time.

The unknown female finally glanced at me with an icy glint in her eyes that gave me goosebumps and a smirk well hidden underneath the hair falling on her face.

"Skyler Wait!" I stopped in my tracks as I slowly glance back at them.

"I'll see you in a while, wait for me in your room" Alpha Hayden says to the female, I could already tell she wasn't a werewolf.

She nods excitedly and with a smile, she exits out of the door.

What even is this?...

"Umm" I start, while biting on my lips awkwardly.

"Pretend you didn't see any of that for my sake and yours"

" Okay?" I reply, as I continue biting on my lip.

"My apologies, I didn't hear any knocking at all, and I'm sorry you had to see that" Alpha Hayden says Genuinely.

"Umm, its your business, but I came here to tell you about a rogue in this city, I'm sure someone must've told you since I happened to see them."

"Nope, haven't Heard about any Rogues, I get reports every morning, so... I'm sure" he looks down at his paperwork with a raised up eyebrow.

"My mate's Neighbors are quite weird, for having one of our own as a pet. His two neighbors are human but they have a grown werewolf on a leash" I reply thoughtfully as I think about the werewolf's haunting eyes.

"Are you sure?, because I'd have to go down there to check it out"

"I'm sure, The rogue looks like it has suffered a lot so don't be harsh on them, and make sure to call me when you're going. I need to make sure my mate is safe" I whisper while rubbing on my neck awkwardly.

"I will, and Skyler?" Alpha Hayden begins just as I turn to the door.

" Yeah?"

"You've been great this past month... you might end your training earlier and take your title as an Alpha. Next week, I'll let you visit your family, since thanksgiving is close" I was surprised none the least, but I hadn't expected that.

Visiting my family? I suddenly felt a wave of happiness.

"Thank you Alpha Hayden" I smile warmly.
