"Yes, Hi, I'd like a grande white chocolate mocha frappe please," I told the cashier at Starbucks. "Name please."
"Eleanor." I was just ordering my daily dose of coffee before going to meet Lou. I was going to meet his grandparents for the first time and I was extremely nervous. Louis and I had been dating for a year now and I knew he was the one. That's why I just wanted everything to be perfect tonight, I really need his grandparents to like me. I'm even getting a new dress for the occasion.
"Hey babe" "Hey Tay! Hey Jess!" I said to my two best friends. We met at topshop, our favorite store, to get the perfect outfit for tonight. I'd known Taylor and Jessica since primary school and we've been friends ever since, I could literally tell them anything without feeling like they'd judge me.
"What do you think of this" Taylor said while holding up a revealing bodycon dress.
"I can't wear that, I'm meeting his grandparents!"
"Right Right" she replied back.
After about an hour of looking I finally found the perfect dress. It was a light pink heart back and I knew I'd make a great first impression.
After shopping we all decided to go get a quick snack.
"So do you really love him?" Jess asked me.
"Of course I do, he's my everything." I was so sure I loved Louis, he's perfect.
"You're so lucky you have someone."
"Jess, you're going to find someone, I know it."
"hopefully."
"But what are the other boys like?" Tay asked chiming in.
"They're all so different but hilarious and so sweet. I know Zayn and Niall are single ."
"uhhh El sorry but we don't really listen to their music too much, remind us again who they are."
I turned on my phone and showed them each of the boys.
"Oh that's Zayn?!" Jess replied.
"Yeah. You like?"
"He's' soooo fit!"
"I can try and set you guys up, he's really nice and sweet. Kinda shy though."
"He sounds perfect. Sooo when can I meet him?"
"haha slow down, let me call him."
"okay he said he'd love to meet you! How's next Friday at Frannies? (Frannies is a really popular restaurant in London)
"Ahhh yes, thank you soo much El, I love you!" Jess exclaimed
"Haha no problem. I gotta go though, gotta get ready for tonight."
I arrived at my flat and that's when the nerves kicked in again. I decided to call Lou, I thought talking to him would make me feel more at ease.
"Hey baby, I was just wondering if I should bring the flowers for your grandmother or the necklace? Or should I bring both? Or is that too much? But what if---
"babe slow down. Haha just bring the flowers, a necklace is way too much."
"But what if it's not enough, Louis I'm so scared what if they don't like me?"
"Are you kidding me?! They're going to love you, you are so amazing and friendly and great with people."
"You really think so?"
"Yes. They will love you, now don't worry. I'll be over in two hours to come pick you up."
"Okay. Thanks for everything. You always know what to say."
"I love you El."
"I love you too Louis."
