Chapter 2

"YOONGI!!!!!!"
And that's how Yoongis morning began.
He was late.
Today's Friday, and that means Pup training day. Yoongi was supposed to be up at 5 to make all the pups lunches and have their gear ready for them.
Yoongi hastily grabbed his phone checking the time, 04:29.
What? The fuck-

"YOONGI DO NOT HAVE ME CALL YOU AGAIN!" The Head Alpha roared, obviously waking everybody.
To which they'd probably ignore the yelling upon finding out it was towards Yoongi.

Yoongi quickly got up and began running up the stairs, from his basement bedroom.
What's going on? I did all my chores! I didn't sleep in! What's going on-
Yoongis thoughts are interrupted as his gaze meets that of his head alphas.

The man towered above yoongi with his large 5ft 11 frame, which compared to Yoongis small 5ft 5 self made him feel minuscule.

"Y-yes Sir?" Yoongi cowered. The omega in him was terrified at the idea of displeasing his head Alpha.
"Come yoongi, we'll talk in my office" he growls in a low, rough voice.
"Yes sir" he bows his head, allowing his Head Alpha to lead the way.

Yoongis mind went in to full blown panic mode as he walked down the seemingly endless hallway.
What did I do wrong? Is he mad at me? Is he going to yell at me? Or worse.. hit me? What if he wants to claim me? And tries something?! I can't defend myself!! What if he kicks me out of the pack?! I couldn't leave my parents-

"Yoongi?"
A voice snapped Yoongi out of his thoughts.
His head Alpha sits in the large leather desk chair behind the wooden black desk.
"Please sit," he gestured with his hand at one of the plum coloured chairs in front of his desk.

Yoongi sits in the small armchair cautiously, as if he were waiting for someone to jump out and attack him.

"Now Yoongi," his head Alpha begins, "firstly to let you know you don't have to make the pups lunches today, he I will take care of that"

"Okay" Yoongi whispers, shocked at his head alphas behaviour. What's going on?

"Now Yoongi, on Monday at 8am, you will accompany me and a small group from the pack to the National Pack Ball."

"W-what...?"

"You'll soon be of age to find your mate, your birthday is on the 9th correct?"

"Yes sir"

"Well that works perfectly then, you see the ball runs for a week long, many of the packs have meetings and smaller gatherings for the two weeks before hand however. The Black Quartz Pack have an alpha who was a previous member, Kim Namjoon?"

Yoongis heart stops, Namjoon my cousin ...

"Anyways he's been kind enough to set up some meetings for our pack with the Black Quartz people so we'll be heading up a week earlier than the rest"

Yoongi takes a minute to process all this information,
"So allow me to confirm sir, on Monday we'll be heading to..?"
"Seoul"
"Okay, and we'll be staying there for ..?"
"A month, give or take"
"Oh wow... and I'm going because?"

Head Alpha leans back in his chair, as if he were studying Yoongi.
"Yoongi you turn 18 during the Ball, this is a perfect opportunity for you to meet your mate."

Yoongis breath hitches
My mate?

"As our only Omega you are our only tie to expansion, unless one of our alphas find their own omega of course. I'm taking you as our representation for the viewing"

"T-the viewing?"

"The viewing is where all young omegas who've just come of age stand before the strongest packs young available Alphas, think of it as a courting set up as such."
