the moonlight was strong tonight. i couldn't help but stare at it as my feet took me to a destination unknown to myself.

it was like any other night. when my mind is full of unnecessary thoughts which continue to weigh me down and hold me back.

i'd walk down this empty street, my gaze fixed on the night sky. it was dangerous to be out so late. three-fifty-seven a.m. that was what the clock read before i had exited my room. and despite how many times i told myself it was a bad idea, it seemed that my body didn't want to listen.

so here i am, stood in the middle of the street, completely mesmerised by a glowing sphere hanging

above us. so mesmerised that i didn't acknowledge your presence. as you stood beside me, the two

of us lost in our own individual thoughts.

and as a long, heavy sigh escapes my lips and my eyes cast towards you, you had already disappeared. and i no longer feel the weight that had once crushed me.

but there was one thing that i remember from our encounter. one clue that will lead me to you.

the smell of strawberries.
