Kei’s P.O.V.
I immediately closed the diary on my hands. I might be a heartbreaker, or a jerk, or a girl-hopper but I’m not a person who would just break into someone’s privacy. I think I’ll just give it to her later.
After lunch break, I went straight to our homeroom and asked Aina’s seatmate to exchange seats with me. Once I was seated, I put the diary in my bag, placed my crossed arms on the desk, and propped my head over so no one could see my face.
A few minutes later, I heard the chair beside me move a bit. Aina’s here already. I was about to lift my head up and get her diary from my bag but just then a lady called my attention.
“That’s enough snoring, Inoo-san.” Our Math teacher said.
“Hai. Gomen nasai, Amiya-sensei.” I said with a fake warm smile. The lady immediately turned her back on me. Maybe to hide the fact that she was blushing.
“You….???” Aina said as she looked at me with disgust.
I just replied with a salute sign and smile. The girl just shrugged…more like shivered. Man, I really need to explain things to this onna. I’m not mentally-ill!!! And I’m no pervert!!!

Classes were already dismissed and I was waiting in front of the school gates for Aina to come out when I noticed a little girl crying in front of a toy stall.
“I want that bunny!” she cried.
“Eh… demo this is for sale. If you don’t have money, you can’t have it.” The vendor said as she sympathized with the crying child.
I crossed the street and approached the girl.
“Doushitanou? Why are you crying?” I asked as I wiped the tears on her face by my thumb.
“I want that bunny plushie.” She answered, pointing to the bunny toy that hung highly on the stall so the little girl couldn’t reach it.
I stood up and pulled it down. “Kore?” I asked and the girl nodded.
“Hora…” I gave it to the girl and then I reached for my pocket for money and paid the vendor.
“Arigatou.” The vendor said. I replied with a bow.
I turned back to face the little girl again. “So you really want that toy, eh?”
She shook her head. “Iie.”
“Eh? Then what are you crying for?” I asked as I brushed off the stray strands of her high pigtailed hair.
“It’s Onee-chan’s birthday today and I want to give this to her as a present. She really likes plushies…especially bunny plushies.” She answered, now wiping her own tears away with one hand as the other hand held the toy.
“Eh.” I nodded in amazement. I thought this girl was crying because she wanted to have the toy to herself but I was wrong. She wanted to give it as a present. Then a question popped into my mind: “But why are you the one to buy the gift for your sister? Where are your parents?”
She sniffed. “My parents are away in California for business. It’s only me and Onee-chan that lives at home.”
I blinked. “Only the two of you? And how old are you?”
“I’m six and my sister just turned seventeen today.”
“Sugoi! I’m seventeen too!” I smiled.
