Awake

"What about him?!" Y/n stands up on her feet in an instant.

"Please follow me" was all the doctor said.

Y/n follows the doctor weakly because she was scared of what must've happened. She needed to see him, needed to hear his voice, needed his touch, and most importantly, needed his love.

Y/n felt like it was centuries since she last saw Taehyung with his eyes open, but it was just a week. A week that felt like years.

Taehyung was important to her, and she hasn't even done everything she wanted to do with him. She wanted to travel around with him, meet his family for the first time, experience new things, and the main thing was make a family.

Each step y/n took was like a step to her death. Her heart starting racing, sweat started to form on her forehead, and her legs were getting wobbly. It was all because she was nervous. It was all in slow motion for her.

"We're here." The doctor says. "Please prepare yourself" the doctor says and makes y/n even more scared.

The doctor twists the door knob slowly but y/n stopped him.

"I can't.. I can't do this" y/n starts forming tears.

"You can" the doctor smiles and opens the door.

Y/n coverers her eyes because she still wasn't ready yet. She was scared that she will see his lifeless body on the bed.

Y/n kept covering her eyes.

"I can't do this.. I can't.." y/n sobs.

"Y/n" y/n stopped sobbing for a second once she heard the voice.

That voice which made her feel safe.. the voice to make her relaxed. She could listen to it everyday without getting bored.

"I'm ok" she hears the voice again.

Y/n slowly uncovers her eyes and her heart beat was hitting her chest.

She fully uncovers them.

Once she did, she gasps and covers her mouth.

"TAEHYUNG"

Y/n runs towards Taehyung and gives him hug.

"A-ah.." Taehyung winced in pain.

"I'm so sorry" y/n quickly apologizes and got off of him.

Y/n's eyes changed to bright ones once she saw her beloved husband awake.

"I miss you so much" y/n takes Taehyung's hand and holds it gently.

"I was here the whole time, and I wasn't planning on leaving"

Y/n wipes her tear and nods.

"I knew it!" She chuckles. Y/n turns to the doctor. "Thank you so much for taking care of him"

Y/n takes the doctors hand and shakes it wildly. The doctor chuckles at the reaction.

"I'm very glad I could help" the doctor smiles and takes his leave.

"I.. can't believe you're awake" y/n sheds a tear and hugs him gently this time.

"Do you really think I would die without giving you kids" Taehyung teases and y/n gets off him.

"Yah!" She hides her pink face by turning from him. "Who said I wanted kids-"

"So you don't" Taehyung tilts his head and smirks as y/n lowers her face.

"It's not that either!" Y/n crosses. "I'm gonna get you food!" Y/n opens the door and left.

Y/n smiles to herself since her husband was still the same ol him. Always teasing.

"Is it good?" Y/n asks as she fed him some soup.

Taehyung just nods cutely.

"Does it still hurt?" You look at the bandage around his waist.

"When I move, it does. A lot" he pouts and it made you pout as well.

"If you need to go to the bathroom, just call me ok? Don't go walking on your own."

"Yes ma'am" Taehyung teases and y/n scoffs.

Y/n kept feeding him and soon after, the bowl was empty. Y/n wipes his lips with napkin and smiles softly at him.

"Thanks" y/n says lowly.

"For what?" Taehyung asks a slightly tilts his head.

"For coming to save me.. I thought I was never going you see you again." Y/n sighs and throws the napkin away in the trash can.

"Don't ever say that. If you're lost, I will always find you, and if you're hurt, I will always heal you. Why? Because I love you."

"I love you too.." y/n smiles and kisses him on the forehead.

Y/n's smile disappears when a thought came up. She wanted to ask him about Irene. Like why didn't he tell tell her about Irene.

"Tae." Y/n speaks up and Taehyung hums in response.

"Why.. didn't you tell me about Irene? Why didn't you tell me you had a girlfriend when I was away from you?"

Taehyung pursed his lips trying to think the best way to explain it. He was scared that she would end up crying after he told her about Irene.

"She.." Tae pauses for a second trying to figure out how to say this. "She helped me, get over you. When you disappeared, I was a emotional disaster. I deleted everyone from my world and ignore everything. I was lost.
When Irene came to my life, she would be there for me. She also was there to support me with my future plans and I was grateful for that.
A few years of spending time together, she developed feelings for me, and I accepted it."

Y/n's heart was shattered, but she had to be strong to listen more of the story.

"I accepted it because I felt like I needed to owe her something for being there for me when you weren't."

"Tae, I told you it was my dad's fault, he wanted me to sing-"

"You also did. And you left me for that decision" Tae says sternly. "Do not tell me you didn't want to sing"

"But you forgave me fore choosing my career-"

"But it still hurt me. It hurt me that you chose something instead of someone like me."

Tae's eye glistening as tears were starting to form.

"Irene was there for me"
