Tyler's POV
After school on Wednesday, Seth and I drove into town where Seth picked up a few things. We also stopped at his uncle's antique shop for a small visit, but ended up being there for longer.
On our way back, we decided to drive to a place where we usually hang out. It was an old abandoned playground that was a fifteen minutes drive from our school. We would normally come here to hang out before going home. It has been a while since we stopped here so we decided to do so today.
Today wasn't any different than the other days we stop here. We were here for almost an hour now just chilling and talking about nothing in particular; just random topics. Seth was settled on top of a bench with his feet on the sitting area and I sat a few feet in front of him on a tree stomp with my back leaning on a tree.
Most of the time we were talking however, I was a little distracted. I couldn't help it. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't stop thinking about how things turned out with Emily and I. I knew that our fake dating had to come to an end, but deep down I wish it didn't. Even though I didn't want to admit it, I miss her.
Trying my best not to think about it anymore, I took out my phone from my pocket and began to scroll through my news feed on Instagram.
"Are you texting Emily?" Seth asked. Looking up from my phone, I looked at him. He was no longer in a sitting position. He was laying on his back on the bench top with his hand behind his head. He wasn't looking at me though. He was staring up at the sky.
I shook my head. "No, I'm not. Why would you think that?" I asked.
He didn't answer me. In fact, he fell into silence. Shaking my head, I went back to my phone.
"Dude, you are so stupid." Seth said suddenly.
I gave him a confused look. "What are you talking about Seth?"
"I'm talking about Emily. It's obvious even to a blind person that you like her." Seth replied.
I shake my head adamantly. "No, I don't." I denied.
Seth sat up in a sitting position on the bench once again and faced me. He cut me off before I could even say anything else. "Oh yes you do. You can't fool me. You're just too damn coward to even admit it to yourself."
"There is nothing to admit. Emily and I had a deal and now it's over." I said. "There is nothing more to it."
"It was more than that man and you know it." Seth countered pointing an accusing finger at me.
I opened my mouth to contradict him, but closed it instantly. I really didn't have anything to say, because he was right. He was right about everything. I need to stop denying it.
I've always known because of all these feelings I'd have whenever I was around her or thinking about her. I knew that she had gotten to me more that any girl ever had before. Even hearing her name puts a smile on my face.
I admit, I was ignoring my feelings and pushing it aside because I didn't know how to handle it. I've never felt this way before about a girl and honestly, it scared me.
Seeing her in school these past three days, I had to stop myself every time from walking over to her. I couldn't explain my reasons for wanting to do that. All I know is that I wanted to be close to her. I wanted to be with her. I wanted to just talk to her.
There was so many times that I couldn't stop myself from staring at her. Sometimes, she would look around at me and other times, I prayed that she would just look around and smiled at me. I would do anything just to see her smile. She didn't though, because those times she didn't even know I was watching her.
I know it sounds creepy, but I couldn't help myself. I miss being with her a lot and now I knew why. Well, I knew why a long time ago. I was just ignoring it, so I wouldn't have to deal with it. However, now I knew that I couldn't hide my feelings anymore. I didn't want to. I like her. I like her a lot. Hell, what I felt for her was more than that and I wanted desperately to share them with her.
As this realization hit me, a smile appeared on my face. I looked up at Seth and he was already looking at me with a knowing grin. "So what are you still doing here?" He asked pointing his hands in the direction of the street where my car was parked. "Go get your girl."
I shook my head at him and smiled before I turned and walked away in the direction of my car.

When I pulled up in the driveway of my house, I saw someone sitting on the front steps waiting for me.
When I parked my car and got out, I saw that the person was Andrea. She stood up and walked towards me when I closed the car door.
"Hi Tyler." She said with a smile.
"What are you doing here, Andrea?" I asked without preamble. I just wished that she'd leave me alone. I didn't want to deal with her right now.
"You don't have to be so hostile. What happened? We used to be so close."
"You really want me to answer that?" I challenged losing my patience with her.
She came closer to me and placed her hands on my shoulder. "I just wanted you to know that you don't have to worry about your little girlfriend anymore. You're free to come back to me now."
I instantly pushed her hand from me and stepped back. "What? What are you talking about Andrea?" I narrowed my eyes at her. "What did you say to her?"
She shrugged as if it didn't matter. "I didn't say much. I just told her the truth." She replied in a casual tone.
I shook my head as I tried to control my anger. "What is wrong with you? Why would you do something like that?"
"Nothing is wrong with me, Tyler. You're the one making a big mistake. I understand though. You were confused. I was just helping you out. I did you a favour. Now you don't have anything holding you back." She said, then smiled once again. "Now you should get over whatever it was that you had with her and come back to me."
I stood there looking at her and it was like I was seeing her for the first time. Seeing who she really was. "You know what you are?" I asked in a hard tone. "You are a manipulative, cold hearted person and I don't want any to do with you."
She flinched at my words, before saying, "Tyler, you don't mean that."
"I mean every word. Please do me a favour and don't go near me or Emily ever again." I didn't want to say anything else to her. I was done with her. Honestly, I don't know what I had seen in her in the first place. Also, I wasn't angry at what she did two years ago. No, I was passed that. I was angry because she was here now and trying to interfere in my life.
"Please leave." I demanded. I didn't want to hear anything else from her. I didn't even want to look at her right now. "Please leave. Now."
"Tyler, you don't-" She began.
"Leave now, Andrea and I don't want to ever see you again."
Andrea stood there, looking at me for a long time, before she turned and stormed away.
Finally getting her out of my life for good, I turned my attention to Emily's house. All light were off except her room light. I checked my watch and saw that it was after seven o' clock. I didn't want to disturb her parents by knocking on the door and asking to speak to her. I couldn't do that.
I smiled as I thought about seeing her again. I haven't seen much of her in school. I don't know why but I felt like she was avoiding me and that was killing me inside.
I needed to see her tonight and tell her everything. I couldn't wait until tomorrow. I also couldn't text her or call her because I needed to do this face to face.
Just then a smile formed on my lips as an idea popped into my head.
