Chp.1
(Bridget's POV)
It was Friday morning when I dragged myself out of bed. I slapped the snooze button on my alarm and flopped back into bed. BEEP!BEEP!BEEP! "Ugh" I groaned as I got up to get ready for school. I got up grabbed some clothes and went to my bathroom. I put on some Aztec leggings and a baseball t-shirt. I kept my wavy hair down and pulled my bangs out of my face.
I ran downstairs and sat down at the breakfast table next to my two brothers Jake and Luke. Jake was the oldest and Luke was one year younger than me. So I guess you could say I was the middle child. I didn't really care though cause it's fun to have an older and younger brother.
Jake and Luke were the best brothers anyone could have. Sure they made me grow up to like videogames, sports, and all the other stuff boys like to do, but I also have my girly side too. Hence the reason why I care what I look before I go to school.
Plus there are perks of having a younger and an older brother. 1) Jake let's me hang out with him and his friends whenever they come over. So I might have a few crushes on his friends, but hey a girl sees what she likes to see. Pus whenever they have sleep overs I can't help, but stalk them and listen in on their convo.
FLASHBACK:
"Dude you sister is hot! I would want a piece of that cake" I looked over at Luke and he looked at me. We were disgusted by what he said and nearly gagged. "Ew he thinks you're hot" Luke said. "Shut up. I'm fabulous" I said while shoving him to the ground.
All of a sudden the door was opened by Jake and he caught us spying. "Uh...Luke! You shouldn't be spying on your brothers friends" I said, trying to make me look innocent. Dylan, the guy who made the comment about me, smiled and waved, I just stuck my finger in my mouth and gagged. All of Jake's friends laughed even Jake.
FLSAHBACK ENDS
Ever since then Luke and I have made an inside joke about it. Every time Jake walks by Luke says "Hey Bridget you want a slice of this cake" he would say as he pointed at Jake. "Or a slice of this apple pie" I reply back. We both laugh, but poor Jake doesn't have a clue.
I also have perks with being Luke's brother. Luke is really cool too; he's younger than me only by a year, but I still treat him as my baby brother. Since we were so close together I always had this stronger relationship with Luke rather than Jake. Plus whenever Luke's friends come and hang out. They treat me as if I'm one of the guys.
Once our grandmother finished cooking breakfast she set the plates in front of us and the war began. See the bad thing about having bothers is that they are overly hungry all the time. I quickly grabbed my bacon, but was to slow to get my pancakes. Luke took three and Jake took three.
"Guys that's not fair. I don't have any pancakes" I whined. "Luke give Bridget one of your pancakes" my grandmother scolded. "oops" he said. I looked over at his plate and all his food was gone. "Jake can I have one of.." I saw his plate and his food was all gone to.
Okay maybe having brothers wasn't a good thing after all. "I'm gonna kill both of you" I warned. "You better sleep with one eye open" I said trying to scare them. "Psh I'm not scared" Jake said. 'Opps big mistake' my mind said. I got up and pushed him of his chair and tackled him to the ground.
"Now now, Bridget don't beat your brothers up my grandma said. I got off of him flipped my hair and walked away. "Oh Jake you so got owned" I heard Luke say. I walked to the front of the house and went outside on our front porch. "Hey grandpa" I said.
"Hey Bridge" he said as he rocked back and forth in his chair while he read the newspaper. I know what you're thinking where the heck are my parents. Well I live with my grandparents because my parents had died when I was just five. They got in a really bad car accident, when they were coming back home from their dinner date.
