“These are the transfer students, your new classmates.” Sensei said as she gestured for the two guys from outside of the classroom to come in.

Just a few seconds after, two undeniably handsome guys set their feet inside the classroom.

“Ehh~ Aren’t those the two guys earlier?” one of my classmates said. “We’re so lucky to have ikemens in our class!”

The two boys just smiled.

“Yaotome Hikaru desu.” The other guy said as he bowed.

“Inoo Kei desu.” He introduced himself. He, the death angel. “Hikaru and I were from the same school. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu.” They both bowed.

~.~.~

I was distracted the whole day.

The death angel guy didn’t talk to me even once. Does he still know me?

And..

WHERE ARE HIS WINGS?

~.~.~

“You okay?” Yuya asked me as we he walked me home.

No wonder he would ask me. I was spacing out the whole day.

“D-daijobu...” I lied.

He made a face. “No you’re not. You seemed not your usual self today.” He told me. “Is anything wrong?”

“N-no..really. I’m fine.” I replied as I faked a smile.

He squinted his eyes at me, giving the impression that he does not believe in what I was saying.

I chuckled. “Ahaha~actually I was watching this drama last night and I got so hooked that I just spaced out today thinking about it.” I lied again.

“Mmm.. reaallyy??” he sounded like he still doesn’t believe me.

“Ah! Look! My house is already here!” I pointed to my left, where my house is located.  I then gave Yuya a quick peck on the cheek and then ran off to the gate of my house. “Jaaa~!!”

He nodded once. “Jaa..” he waved and then walked his way home.

Once he was already not in sight, I let out a sigh.

“Are you coming in, Kim-chan?”

“Ah yes!” I answered the guy behind me.

Wait.

What?

Guy?

My dad is working abroad.

My brother went to a three-day-long school trip.

My mom is not a male, but she won’t be coming home tonight since her co-worker asked her to help finish a report.

WHO IS THIS PERSON BEHIND ME?

I turned around.

“Hi there~” that other guy, Hikaru, said. Then he chuckled. “Ah, anou.. gomen ne.. I can’t open the gate. I don’t have the key for the lock.”

I blinked. I then fished out the key from my pocket and handed it to him. He opened the gate.

“H-how did you get in here  then?” I asked as he gave meback my key.

He grinned. “Teehee~”

“We flew in, of course.”

I turned to my right, and saw that it was the angel guy, Kei, who spoke. I then stared back at Hikaru. “So that means that you’re—”

“Whatever you’re gonna say, yes I am.” Hikaru cut my sentence short as he made little gestures using his hands,  sticking his  upper arms to his sides and flapped his hands, imitating how an angel would fly.

“I..I thought I only summoned one.” I spoke.

“Well I’m his best friend so I came here with hi—” Hikaru said but he wasn’t able to finish his sentence.

“He’s your angel.” Kei said.

“What?” I blinked. Hikaru then put his palms together at the center of his chest, like a praying position, imitating an angel.

“I’m the one who is supposed to...fetch  you when the time comes.” Hikaru told me once he placed his hands down. “We death angels are divided into—”

“ You’re talking too much.” Kei raised an eyebrow at him. “What you need to know,” he looked at me again. “is that Hikaru and I will be here, watching you for three months.”
