Chapter Six

Alec...

"What do I have to do to make you keep this between me and you?" I ask, pulling out my wallet. She raises her brows at me before letting out a small chuckle.
"You don't have to do anything, that's my best friend. But... since you're offering you can order us some take out. I mean you did just drain the energy from Soriya so the least you could do is buy her something to eat so that she can re-gain that energy that you just-"
"Okay! Okay! I get it..." I sigh and shake my head at the girl. "What do you want?" I ask and she squeals before clapping her hands.
"Chinese sounds good." She smiles and I roll my eyes at her dramatics before shoving a fifty in her hand.
"Tell her to call me." I say and she nods as I walk past her. "Females." I mumble before descending the stairs to make my way out of the house. Once I get out the front door I shut it softly behind me and press the unlock button on my car keys. My car chirps as I unlock it and I pull the drivers door open and go to slip inside. Before I get fully in my name being called softly makes me look up. Soriya stands on her balcony, her small hand waving to indicate she was holding something.
  "Your ring fell off." She says and I quickly look down at my ring finger. Sure enough it had come off somewhere within our playtime.
"Shit." I whisper to myself before walking under the balcony. I hold my hands out and she drops it carefully, making sure it falls in my hand.

"Thank you, gorgeous." I say softly and smile up at her. She blushes, pushes some of her frizzed hair behind her ear and smiles.
"You're welcome... should I wait up for you to come back?" She asks and I shake my head as I lick my lips.
"No if you're tired sleep. I'll give the pills to your friend... she knows about us." I chuckle nervously at the end.
"Oh my god... this is so embarrassing!" She covers her face with her hands and shakes her head. "God... I'll see you later Alec." She says softly before disappearing back inside. Part of me felt bad but at the same time I was relieved that whenever I wanted to come over it wouldn't have to be a secret. Smiling to myself I slip into the car and press the button to start the engine. The car comes to life and I check my mirrors before pulling out of the driveway. To kill the silence in the car I turn on the radio and hum to myself as I make my way to my clothing store. The sound of my phone ringing catches my attention so I reach in my pocket as I pull up on a red light.
"Hello?" I ask after pressing the answer button.
"Hey baby... I was trying to call earlier... Austin said you never made it to the store." Nani says softly and I roll my eyes before pulling back off.
"Hey babe, I'm on my way there now. Had to make a stop somewhere, don't worry I'm okay." I say and she's silent for a moment.
"Where were you?" She asks and I clench my jaw.
"Nani, I'm driving. I'll see you when I get home okay?" I ask and she sighs
"Okay, Alec." She says softly before I hang up.

"You've done some fucked up shit, Alec, but this tops the fucking cake." Austin whisper yells at me and I chuckle as I sip my latte.
"What's so bad about making her my assistant?" I ask as I watch my employees restock all of the empty hangers.
"What's so bad?! Are you- you know what..." He takes a deep breath before pointing his finger at me. "This little shorty you fucking is not that good to be making your own personal mistress!" He hisses and I set my drink down on the counter of the register.
"Have you had it?" I ask and he furrows his brows.
"Had what nigga?" He asks and I laugh lightly.
"Her pussy. Have you personally experienced it? If you haven't I advise you not to make opinions on shit you don't know nothing about." I say as one of the employees begin to walk up to me.
"Is Nani not good enough man? She's fine as fuck and her body is on 10." He says but I ignore him as the person gets closer.
"Hi Mr. Brown. Everything is all set and we're ready to open... is there anything else you want us to do?" He asks and I shake my head and give him a smile.
"No I think everything is just fine, go ahead and unlock the doors." I say, giving him the okay and he nods before turning on his heels. I look out of the store and see the line that has already begun to wrap around the building. We were opening about a half hour early but hey, more business. "Anyway, back to you." I say, turning back towards Austin. "Yes Nani is fine as fuck but I get a kick out of being adventurous." I say and he rolls his eyes at me.
"Being a cheater."
"Adventurous."
"A cheater."
"Adventurous."
"A cheater." Laughing I take another sip of my coffee.
"Adventurous." I wink before walking away from him.
