Sunlight filtered through the leaves of many trees. A clearing glowed from the warm sunlight.
Bushes started to rustle, around the clearing. Making leaves fall down slowly. An ginger-orange she-kit with a flash of white on chest, Stepped out of the bushes.
Her fur glowed when sunlight warmed it.
Why am I here?! I'm disobeying the warrior code, leaving ThunderClan's camp.
She glanced around the clearing with, wide, terrified eyes. Her mind was swarming with questions.
What if this even isn't ThunderClan's forest?
That last thought hit the ginger she-kit hard. Her stomach churned.
She swivelled her head around. Trying to see if she recognised the place. Her terrified green eyes observed everything. Even the smallest detail.
She wondered if Rainstar would send a patrol after her.
She wondered if she would die here. Not knowing how she got here in the first place.
What if Rainstar delays my apprentice ceremony?
She shut her eyes, and shook her head. Trying to clear her mind from these thoughts.
Then, she felt herself falling. Shock jolted through her.
"Are you alright Sunkit?"
Sunkit blinked open her eyes in shock. She turned her head to see a white-ginger tom grinning up at her.
Sunkit leaped away from the tom. Her fur was bristling from fear, anger, and shock. The tom was a kit, no bigger than her.
He was grinning at Sunkit. A playful grin.
Sunkit knew who this kit was. Instead of grinning back at the kit. Sunkit glared at him. A glare filled with hatred and fear.
A voice echoed, back and forth. In Sunkit's mind.
"You'll never be a warrior if you can scare a butterfly away!"
The same voice taunted her again and again.
"You're a piece of fox-dung! You know that though, right?"
"Come on mousebrain!"
Soon, another voice, cold and quiet started taunting her to.
"If your brother can jump that high, why can't you?"
"Are you okay?"
Sunkit blinked. That wasn't something Patchkit would say.
She surprised herself, by responding. "No."
Patchkit tilted his head in confusion "why not?"
Sunkit, started to tremble. What should she say to the cat, that taunted her for so many moons?
Finally, Sunkit knew what to say.
"You hate me! Why are you concerned about me?"
Patchkit stared at her as if she said she would eat a fox.
"We're family that's why!" Patchkit told her.
As soon as Patchkit had said that she turned tail and ran.
Beware of the sun!
