Nightingale [Adam x Reader] (a short story)

1.Day of Vlogging

You sat up my camera and turned around packing up a few things to show you were moving, it took about 13 minutes to get all the stuff you were gonna move first. You clicked record and held the camera facing you as you began your intro.
"Hey my (Fan Club Name) , it's (Youtube Name) and I'm here on Vlog entry with day one of moving out to the big scary world. Yeah I'm gonna leave my little house to move across the United States to set up shop in Bellevue, Washington. Why may you ask? Cause I've landed a job! But let me explain the details" you sat down on the carpet with my legs criss crossed.
"I went to Pax to have a fan meet with you guys which was awesome by the way, and I went inside after and I ran into a few Minecraft developers and they started talking to me about trying out a beta version of their game. Like something that wasn't Minecraft, but you guys know I don't do gaming but I liked the style and during the test I started vlogging and that's when the guy next to me spoke up. Now bare with me guys I don't watch much gaming videos so don't hate me. This guy said he worked in the offices with his friends he said he's fans call him Sky. We began talking a little bit while still test running the game. Side note, the developers gave me a free copy, but anyway we hung out a bit after with me still vlogging the surroundings as it was my first time at Pax. At the end of the day we talked about jobs and that lead me to here" you moved the camera around seeing the packed boxes, then I kept it still.
"I've already got an apartment set up and all it's just a long drive by myself and my taste in horrendous music" that's when you got a knock on my door. You grabbed the camera and you saw Mitch and Jerome dangling the car keys. You turned back to the camera smiling.
"I had you going didn't I? Jerome and Mitch were heading there anyway so they agreed to drive with me as I don't own a car" you laughed a bit as Mitch hopped on my back and Jerome hopped on top of Mitch.
"And this is the signal to end the vlog here so see you later (Fan Club Name)" You ended it as you fell backwards which made Mitch fall on Jerome and me on top of Mitch. It was kinda awkward for you, as you and Mitch had a small relationship awhile back but cut it off as family and code got in the way. Aka Jerome since it was a rule not to date your Brother's sister or your Brother's Best friend. Yes you were related to Jerome which made you question how you never met Sky.
"Hey Jerome, I've got a question for you" while you were still on top of Mitch.
" And I've got an answer" You chuckled while Mitch looked down at you with a bit of smile spread across his face.
"Why haven't I never met Adam before?" Jerome propped himself up not bothering to move.
"Adam is, how do I say this....Adam. He doesn't have such a history with women that's why I was a little skeptical that he asked you to join Sky media" you made an o shape with my mouth and Jerome finally forced himself out from underneath you two. Jerome didn't know about your small romance with his Canadian friend which is why his comment caught you off guard, as he spotted Mitch's eyes on you.
"You guys look cute together" Your face became pink as Mitch laughed at his straight forward ness.
"Dude I told you I only think of your sister as a friend" That was an outrageous lie as you knew he didn't back then.
"Uh huh, whatever you say buddy. I mean I understand your following the bro code but dude I'm fine if it's you" your face became red and you jumped up but fell again as you slipped on a paper that you had written on, before you realized it you were hugged from both sides by non other than the BajaCanadian.
"Like I said uh huh" Jerome smiled while Mitch looked down at me. We both were giving each other a look, you and him had a spoken rule to never speak about your relationship to anyone. Mitch finally got the guts and stood up still holding you in his arms until you was fully up.
"Anyway let's get your stuff to the moving van so we can hit the road dudes!" Mitch yelled as Jerome carried boxes down along with Mitch, they wouldn't let you touch a single one. As Jerome came back up Mitch didn't follow behind him this time, Jerome threw me on his backing carrying me to the car and you was in the passenger seat to see Mitch in the drivers seat. Great, you swear Jerome is playing match maker.

Fast Forward to car traveling

You mumbled in the back to open my eyes asleep on Jerome's lap, your brother had his head laying against the window. Past him You saw the water and the bridge and that's when you knew we made it to Washington. You layed back down falling into a deep sleep as Jerome began to wake up, You felt him lift me up and rest my head on his shoulder and you was out like a light. It felt like hours but just of only been ten minutes cause You felt someone lightly shake me until You felt water get splashed in my face.Your eyes shot open and You nearly yelled Jerome to see it was Adam.
"I'm gonna kill you" You spoke slowly and the red head man with a z necklace laughed at Adam,
"Already like this chic" he spoke as Adam hid behind him. Mitch stopped you before he grabbed water and dumped it on him while Jerome laughed. Adam and the red head both got wet, Adam face was motionless till he laughed giving Mitch, Jerome and you a hug.
"Good to see you guys" his laugh was contagious as a smile began to form on your face while the red beanie dude seemed unamused.
"How did I deserve that?" He seemed a little mad.
"Max now your Mad Max" Max pointed his finger at Adam and before you knew it Sky was running around the car. A guy with rimmed glassed came out with some what shaggy or messy hair while he tried to stop max from killing Adam.
"As much as I enjoy this, we should really show where (Y/N) will be working at" Jerome spoke while Mitch was laughing at the scene in front of him. Adam nodded as max punched him in the arm while he made a fake owe. Adam started leading the way inside the office as I began recording my vlog. Adam started talking while Mitch made funny faces at the camera.
"Over here is where the editors are, Max is one of them" he pointed next to him, Max seemed calmer. As he continued to explain everything it came to my little work spot that was next to him and Ross who I found out had been friends with Adam for awhile. When he finally turned around he saw the camera.
"To be honest I didn't even realize you were recording" He laughed his famous laugh while a few guys walked in noticing you.
"Who's shes?" A guy who had a little bit of an accent. Another red head showed up who nodded his head in agreement. Adam facepalmed himself as he forgot introduce me and the two guys behind you.
"The girl is (Y/N), Jerome and Mitch" he pointed out each one of you.
"This is Barney, Red, Ross, Max and mwah" You nodded as he pointed them out to me.
"To be honest I was able to figure out who Max and Ross was cause you said they're name" He gave me a little glare I put my hands up in surrender while Red spoke up.
"We were going to see if you were gonna record a video cause me, Ross, Barney and Max need to head out" he shrugged his shoulders while I turned my camera to me to show Jerome and Mitch behind me.
"Well guys I'm gonna end it here so part two of vlogger moving is done!" I ended the video while the group left.
"We could do some truth or dare" Adam suggested which Jerome agreed a little to happily.
