Thick, black smoke stacks blended with the inky sky above, blotting out few of the many stars that populated it. The noisy churning of wheels were loud enough to be heard from the spot he perched on - Atop a cliff besides a harsh drop into a thin valley which the train travelled through. Even in the pitch black below he could make out the shape of the upcoming train - He was always good at seeing in the dark.
Kayru, of the prestigious Tenmetsu familly. An assassin by trade, trained in the arts of violence as the result of an unfortunate birth into a millitant clan focused on forging soldiers out of children. His straight, red hair was too dark to make out in the shadows, and despite his career 'choices' he had no weapon on him.
Chug-Chug-Chug-Chug. The rhythmic beating grew louder as it passed through the valley, and like some kind of lunatic the man covered in shadow jumped from the cliffside - Not exactly suicidal - He just loved making dramatic entrances...
Dropping at a quickening pace, his signature scarlet eyes look at the ground below that came ever closer. He closes his left eye and like some sort of odd chemical reaction, almost too fast for the eye to see, his body disintegrates into nothing but a collection of crimson sparks that fizzled into nothingness briefly afterwards. Like that, he was gone.
Thud. Landing on the cabin's roof, the last segment of the train, Kayru rolls his neck, cracking it. His boots clang against the metal, tipped with pointed steel plates simmilar to those on his knee-pads. Dropping down onto the walkway between cabins, he kicks open the door behind him. Looking around in the dark, he notices it looks empty apart from some crates. Nothing to worry about, it seems.
Deciding to move on through the train, he enters the cabin ahead, and cautiously walks inside. The room is pitch black, but Kayru's trained eyes notices some subtle movement from behind another crate. Pretending not to notice, he continues walking...
Fast footsteps fill the room as the shadowy figure charges at Kayru with an unrecognisable weapon, but recieves a heavy boot to the chin as Kayru kicks the assailant with lightning reflexes, and hops backwards to makes some range. He grins as he hears a muffled groan, and the lights flicker on to reveal a rugged man, shorter but larger than him. His clothes are rugged like that a bandit would wear, weilding a mace. He leans against the wall where a torch had been lit by some weak pyromancy, and he holds his new broken jaw.
"You... You fphuckin' bashtard...." He spits out, cearly struggling with his words .
"Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't see you there! Lets make up..." Kayru remarks with a snarky tone as he offers a hand towards his assailant.
Taking the offer of kindness well, Kayru's opponent charges again with his mace from above, swinging it quickly. Smiling, Kayru slides to the right to avoid the blow and uses the momentum of the bandit's charge to send his steel-clad knee flying into his gut. He follows it up with a leg sweep sending the enemy to the ground. Kayru chuckles a little, and offers his hand out to his opponent once again.
"You sure you don't want to take my offer?" He says, smirking.
The bandit crawls backwards. "I'll make you shuffer..." He mumbles again, furrowing his eyebrows as he gets annoyed with his new lisp. He gets up from the ground and swings wildly at Kayru, who nonchalantly dodges from side to side to avoid the blows before quickly adjusting his footing to launch his upper body foreward into a headbut as he sees an opening, sending the bandit back a few steps once again before hopping to the side and running a short distance to the wall or the cabin. He jumps onto it, kicking off the wall in the direction of the bandit. With the same foot he sends his boot flying into the temple of his opponent, knocking them out immediately and throwing them crashing into the ground.
Letting out a quick sigh, Kayru rolls his neck again and heads towards the exit of the carriage. "I need to get these back pains worked out. Spa day sounds great around now... Maybe I could get a massage from a hot elf, or something..."
