"Oh course we'd love to come to the science fair with you guys" Helen Parr, or better known as the superhero Elastigirl replied on the phone, smiling.
She was talking with Kali Harpercop, who had just called to invite the Incredibles family to meet them at a local orphanage near by were the science fair was going to be, since it had been awhile when the families last saw each other due to the Harpercop's sudden moving again.
"We'd love to come" Helen told Kali on the phone, then called out to her husband. "Right, dear?". Bob's voice was then heard in background, casually agreeing with his wife.
"We'll meet you there in half an hour" Kali informed the super family, then hung up.
Awhile later~
The Harpercop family had arrived in front of a nice little building known as the Sixth Street Orphanage and got out of the car.
This was only one of the many orphanages from a few years ago that Kali had stayed in, when it was amused that the rest of her family were killed in a car accident, leaving the poor adventure girl alone for a whole year on the streets.
Kali sighed as she looked up at the building that held so many memories for her. "Well, this is it"
"So, this is the orphanage you supposedly ran away to" Walter said to his oldest daughter.
"Hey, it wasn't my fault!" The tough tomboy defended. "I thought you were all dead for goodness sake!"
"Wait, how many orphanages have you stayed in?" Brock asked his older sister.
But before Kali could answer, the Incredibles just then pulled up in their car, honking at them. The two families all ran to each other, being reunited as one big whole family. They were very close since Bob, Helen, Walter, and Jane all knew each other since the glory days.
They were all so happy to see each other, since the last time they did was during that incident with the villain Screenslaver only a few months ago.
"It's so good you all could make it" Jane smiled to her old friend and her super family.
"But wait!" Ann realized something after looking around for a sec. "Where's Jack-Jack?"
Just then, everyone heard the baby's giggles echo throughout the area they were in, and the whole Parr family went wide-eyed. "Oh no, not again!"
Jack-Jack had apparently teleported into another dimension again without the family noticing, and now not knowing where he was going to reappear next.
Suddenly, the super baby reappeared right in Kali's arms which startled the twins.
"Ah! Don't do that!" The twins glowered slightly at Jack-Jack while he giggled, having enjoyed scaring them.
"Hi, little buddy" Kali cooed while tickling the baby. "How's my little superhero sidekick doing?"
"He's still learning how to control his powers" Bob explained. "But he has gotten better overtime"
"Well, that's good to hear" The tomboy smiled, allowing the baby to chew on her yellow bandanna that had gotten lose around her head.
She then looked over to see her friend. "Hey, Vi!"
But the whole Harpercop family noticed how the invisibility teen was looking rather gloomy.
"Hey..." She glanced up at them, sounding a bit dreary.
The Harpercop family raised their eyebrows with questioning looks on their faces as they turned to Bob and Helen.
"Violet has been having a difficult time lately" Helen whispered to the Harpercops, explaining that Violet had just recently broken up with her boyfriend, Tony Rydinger.
"Oh..." The family then frowned, feeling bad for Violet. Helen hoped that this visit would take Violet's mind off things and have her spend time with her best friend.
"Don't worry, Vi" Kali put a reassuring hand on her friend and sister figure's shoulder. "There will always be other guys... Trust me"
"Yeah..." Violet sighed, looking to her best friend who had always been there for her. "...Sure"
"Anyway, it's great to see you all again" Bob smiled to the Harpercops, slapping Walter slightly on the back as his way of saying 'good to see you old friend'.
Helen then noticed someone missing in the family. "Where's Jacob?"
"And Mikey and Krypto?" Dash added, also seeing that Kali's ninja turtle boyfriend and Superman's dog weren't here with them.
Jane and the rest of the family then explained how Mikey and Krypto had gone back to their home cities, while Jacob was back in England to continue with his college classes. But they all told them to say 'Hi' to the Incredibles.
After the one big family reunited, they decided to walk inside the orphanage together, led by Kali.
They entered through the main room and saw a woman come up to them.
"Hello, may I help you?" She asked, looking friendly as she approached the family.
"Uh, yes" Kali replied. "We're here for-" but she was quickly cut off.
"Wait... Kali?! Is it really you?" The woman asked, adjusting her glasses.
"Hello, Mildred" Kali smiled to this woman who ran the orphanage.
Mildred immediately came up and hugged the rebellious adventure girl and looked to her. "Oh, Kali. My, how you've grown"
"And you haven't changed a bit" The tomboy smiled back at her old caregiver.
"Oh, we've missed you after you left" Mildred hugged Kali again, looking a bit tearful.
"Yeah, sorry for leaving like that" Kali apologized, looking down slightly for a moment. "But when adventure calls, I'm there"
"That is so true" Helen said about her goddaughter while glancing up at Bob and holding Jack-Jack in her arms.
"Besides, if she didn't leave the orphanage, she would've never met Willy and Jesse" Ann mentioned about one of her sister's past adventures while she was on the streets.
"Or helped Santa Claus and Santa Paws" Walter added.
"And, eventually... reunited with us" Jane hugged her oldest daughter, in unspeakable happiness while Kali tried to get out of her grasp, being slightly uncomfortable.
Kali then introduced Mildred to her family and her second family.
"Well, it's certainly nice to meet you all" Mildred smiled to the family, then smiled even more once she remembered something else. "Oh, and just wait until Lewis sees you! He's going to be so surprised"
"What!?" Kali exclaimed out in shock, going wide-eyed. "Lewis is still here?!"
"Who's Lewis?" Dash and the twins asked.
"My old room mate" Kali replied. "We've known each other since the day I arrived here"
"Okaaay. And what's so wrong with him still being here in this place?" Violet asked her best friend.
"It's just that, well..." Kali hesitated at first before explaining to her family about Lewis's situation. "He's been here since he was a baby, and will turn thirteen next year. And let's just say, with his 'special' talents, he hasn't had the best of luck at getting adopted"
"What does he do?" Bob and Helen asked.
"He's an inventor" Kali replied.
"Whoa, cool!" Dash and the twins were already impressed by hearing the word 'inventor'.
"Speaking of which, where is he?" Kali asked Mildred where Lewis was, and she replied with he had already gone off to the science fair a few minutes ago.
"Well then, let's go" Walter said, since the family was planing to go there anyway.
The Parr family asked where the rest of Kali's friends were and she said that they'd meet them there.
The two families then all hopped in the car and drove off down to the school, which was only a few blocks from the orphanage.
