Nothing Feels Like You

Chapter 4

Zayn's POV

"Hi Zayn! What are you doing here?" she says and surprise is clear on her perfect features. 

"You told me you wouldn't there when I left. I had to see you one last time," I say with tears in my eyes and wrap her into a hug.

She leans into me and sighs. We stay like that for what feels like hours. I don't want to leave her. I love this girl so much. She's taken over my thoughts, my heart, my life. It all ends today.

"Zayn! It's time to go!" Mrs.Mercer yells up the stairs.

"Okay! I'll be down in a minute!" I respond. 

I untangle myself from Kaitlyn and cup her face. I lean in for a kiss. Her lips taste like her strawberry lip gloss.  My favorite. She breaks the kiss to wrap her arms around my neck one more time.

"I have to go." I say quietly.

"I know." she lowers her head. 

I lift up her chin and look into her eyes. She looks so beautiful with her hair in a bun and no makeup. This is how I'll remember her. I place one last kiss on her forehead and walk out the door. 

"I'm here." I say to my mom walking straight past her and to the car. 

Once she gets in the car she starts to apologize immediately.

"Zayn, Im-" I cut her off

"No, Mum just save it!" I yell a little to harshly. 

She nods her head and I feel a little bad but then I remember what she's taking away from me. I look in the rear veiw mirror and see Kaitlyn standing in the middle of the road tears streaming down her face. I unbuckle my seat belt and try to get out of the car. My mum pulls of before I can get away and I have to leave my angel with broken wings and a broken heart.
