Chapter#7-He Does What He Has To Do

-Somewhere Else-

'Huh? What in the world was that?' A green headed and freckled boy wondered. The boy's gaze was directed towards the far east side of him.

This particular boy had just been walking home after dealing with a small errand for his mother when a bright light caught his big, curious, green eyes.

'Was that someone's quirk? A hero's maybe, or even a villain? It was quite big and it came from...a tree?' Now even more confused as he thought deeper, the male hesitantly jogged to the place that had piped his interest, wondering just what in the world that was.

'I should've brought my journal.'

-Meanwhile-

Leaves and branches were torn off and rustled as they flew in the strong sudden breeze that had just blasted by. The aged tree now had quite the noticeable 'hole' in its body, with a bare part in its leaves, almost like a bald spot.

The one responsible for this unwanted 'haircut' was smirking triumphantly, looking over her new work proudly.

Fireflighter's face has been forcefully slammed down onto the concrete road, braking his nose and the rest of his face at the same time. You could say that it was a good thing to be already knocked out by the gust of wind from behind, saving him from the excruciating pain to his face.

Also, she had just finished lighting Crabby on fire, burning him to a crisp, his body and facial features almost unrecognizable after what he had just brutally gone through. Talk about a well done steak, or crab for this matter.

That left 5 people: 4 surprised and shocked heros, that includes Ingenium, and 1 invisible and horrified villain, Ghost.

All immediately turned their noggins toward the direction the quirks supposedly came from, only to see the poor Everest tree and its broken remains floating around, fortunately not seeing the female. Since the distance between them was a bit far and nobody present had some sort of eye quirk, our dear villain was luckily left unseen.

They were very confused, though that's not all they were feeling. The heros, Ingenium included, felt glad and relieved that this was over, that they could finally head over and rescue the hostages, or so they were thinking.

On the other hand, Ghost, was just not pleased. Her teammates were all defeated like they were nothing at all. Idiots or not, they still were quite the useful duo. Biting her invisible, personally manicured fingernails, her stomach did a flip flop as some unwanted memories of a certain attack from the past flashed by.

Shaking her thoughts away, remembering that the heros were still here, Ghost took a step towards them, only to be startled and pushed forwards from a sudden large explosion behind her. Swivelling her invisible head, what she saw caused her to back away.

'Oh? So soon? Is it time already?' The hidden female questioned, already knowing the answer, glancing down at her imaginary watch with a clear smirk across her face.

The cafe where the 3 villains' hostages were held was up in glorious flames. The whole building was quickly covered in red fire, with tendrils of hot flames licking the clear blue sky above. Due to the immense heat and fear of being burned, Ghost scrambled back, away from the burning 2 story building.

As for Ingenium and the rest, they immediately took action and called for help, since unfortunately none present could stop the burning fire. "They'll be here as soon as possible!" A male reported to his senior with a relived look, though was a bit confused, mostly alarmed, when the turbo hero suddenly declared, "I'm going in!"

'The fire's too strong, this cafe is the perfect firewood for a happy and healthy fire. Who knows when they'll get here and if they'll make it?' The experienced male analyzed the building, the wheels in his brain turning quick.

Ingenium ran in head first without another thought, his hero instincts taking over. All he could think about was the wellbeing of the scared citizens inside, instead of himself. The heroic man soon disappeared into the building, causing our black haired female to crack her gummy smile.

"Sigh~ These guys really are stupid, huh?"
