I looked at his name tag and read the name "Jeon Jungkook".

It all came back to me

"What the fuck" I spontaneously yelled, earning weird looks from Namjoon and my brother who had no idea about what I was doing. The boy still sat there, widened eyes like before.

Had I already fucked up somehow?

"Is everything alright Mr.Kim?" Kim Namjoon questioned, snapping me back into reality.

I looked over at my brother again, who was trying to understand what had just happened and why I made that move.

"No sir, I apologize, I'm hungover you see" I sat myself back down, the boy whose name was Jungkook still staring at me.

"Well, we won't charge you since the area was abandoned and is to be demolished, per owner's request. Though what we do have to confront you about is the illegal substance found in your pockets"
The officer took out the small, clear bags of drugs. Cheap and impure cocaine, it's what the children do these days.

Jin gasped and looked at me with widened eyes.

"Taehyung! How on earth could you do this?! I let you go to a party ONCE and-" Jin almost screamed lowdly like every parent would, and was cut off by me

"I'm so sorry hyung, I don't even remember buying them. I was drunk okay?"

Namjoon's Point of View

SeokJin's actions and Taehyung's reactions truly seemed like every other college student and guardian interaction I've dealt with, except for the fact that SeokJin mentioned going to a party only once.

I mistook it for some sort of abusive household, so I had to intervene.

"Excuse me, but what are you implying with letting him go for once?" I asked curiously, trying not to show my suspicion.

"Oh, sir, you see Taehyung is a very shy person, quite the introvert and only focuses on his homework. He tries really hard but the cost of this is that he literally has absolutely no friends. So after I went to check up on his grades, I heard a couple of students mentioning a party. So I eavesdropped and made Taehyung go in hope that he'd be making friends and not bringing us to a police station!" The older male threw his hands in the air and leaned back on his chair, he was clearly frustrated and disappointed. I don't think it was Taehyung he was disappointed in, but himself.

SeokJin glared at him and Taehyung just shook his head. He took a breath, relaxed and continued.

"As his older brother and only family member left, I wanted to see him live for a little, not bury himself in his books. He'll definitely get a job, a good one at that too, but if he doesn't have fun now he never will." He explained, looking very sad.
