Park Jihoon lifted his face to see the trees lining to his right and left, creating a canopy beautifully laid by nature. He loves nature. Staying still and doing nothing while gazing at beautiful trees, bushes and flowers is calming and brings back every good memory he had when he was still a child.
Now that he lives in the same world, within a growing body of a handsome young man, a freshman in Seoul High, a place where he don't belong.
Jihoon took a deep breath, calming his heart. He always feels nervous around new people. Or people. The thought of himself as someone with his background, he can feel a bit lonely sometimes, or most of the times.
A stranger.
That's why he never tries to make any conversation first. He's too shy, too awkward, too aware of being a low-rank person.
An omega.
Seoul High is a place where all the high ranks meet. Alphas, betas, deltas, and gammas are crowding the place because it's the best place to educate young alphas or betas to take over any position wherever they are because they are the first and second highest rank of all the human races in the world. It's a law that they will have important positions in every organisation or a company, while deltas and gammas are the second best line after alpha-beta line. They also will be the people who will hold special positions in any organization or company, but not like alphas.
Jihoon sighs. The omega has arrived in a sea of people with loud cheers, talks and joyous celebration.
Of course they will celebrate when they have the privilige of becoming high ranks in society.
Then there is the omegas. Omegas are usually placed in one school. Reason being? It's the unique and tantalizing scent they release when they are in heat. During heat, the 'special' school will send the omegas back home to ensure their safety. Why? It's because that's the time when crime rates go higher, especially rape cases. So the Government set up a facility complex in specific areas, where omegas will have their education from an early age until they reach the age when they can work independently.
Some people believe that the Government has done something great; allowing those omegas to have proper education instead of getting treated like dirt or even enslaved.
Clearly, they have missed something here.
The right to be equal.
Can Jihoon get his food daily? Yes, he can.
Can he enjoy all public facilities? Yes, for sure.
He will answer that there's nothing wrong with how omegas get helped for their basic needs.
Then there is the 'but'.
Can he get the best education? No, he can't. The higher ranks will be prioritized first.
Can he enjoy public facilities? Yes, but higher ranks will be prioritized first.
Of all things he can enjoy, he will be the last person to enjoy because the best things must go to the higher ranks first, then the middle ranks, and lastly to the omegas.
The thing is, being an omega means he also can't choose his own path. After he graduates from college, he will either work as an ordinary worker or to be a good husband.
What about a mate? Some claim that it is from the Moon Goddess, but in the big city with a modern civilization like Seoul, it slowly disappears and is replaced with forced marriage from the Government.
The things that Jihoon hates the most: a forced marriage and a forced feeling.
Park Jihoon believes that love should naturally grow between two people by itself. No one should interfere with someone else's heart— Jihoon abruptly stops what he's thingking about because now he has arrived in front of the gat.
