Chapter 4

Y/n's POV

I looked down at my phone, starting at the chat bubble's three dots jumping. Mina was practically begging me to give my phone number to her and of course, I gave it to her. Who wouldn't? She's such and energetic and positive person to have around. Her text finally popped up and I smiled at it.

Mina: We should hang out! You, me and Uraraka! It would be so much fun! Tonight at 6!!

I giggled at her text, replying. I placed my phone down, ready to think of what to wear. I walked over to my closet and I looked through my clothes. You wear the same clothes all the time. "Can you shut up and let me be happy for once?" I asked, flipping through my shirts. The spirits giggle quietly as I switched shirt after shirt. Oh god I do wear the same clothes all the time. I sighed, throwing myself on my bed face down. I groaned for a long minute, then hearing the smallest whimper. I turned around and saw one of the small spirits pointing to a dress I've kept hidden in my closet for the longest.

I smiled brightly at the little spirit, making the spirit turn a light shade of pink. "That's why you guys are my favorite." The spirits danced around me, making me chuckled softly. I got up, grabbed the dress, and quickly changed. The maroon shade was lovely, but I thought if it was a bit much for a night out with Mina and Uraraka. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes, "I look nice. I'm going to wear this. Its not over the top."

I grabbed my small black ankle boots, and ran to the bathroom. I heard my phone buzz a couple of time but I figured it was just Mina sending multiple texts over and over saying how excited she was. I brushed my teeth quickly, brushed my hair, and styled it a bit to make it look less of a hot mess. Perfect. Soul whispered and I smiled to what was said. I slipped on my boots and ran to get my phone, blown up with texts from Mina.

Mina: OMG IM S O READY YOU DONT EVEN KNOW!

Uraraka: I'm excited too! Its gonna be so much fun!!

I smiled at the texts and took another deep breath. "Please don't bother me and to the love of god, don't embarrass me. I finally have friends and I don't want you to ruin it." I growled but got no response. I rolled my eyes, grabbing my phone and keys. I locked the door and headed to the parking lot.

I arrived at the place where we agreed to meet up at. It was an arcade place, looked pretty vintage which filled me with nostalgia. I remember an arcade pretty similar to this one. It was my favorite place to run to when things at home got kinda rough. The nice lady always allowed me to stay a bit late even after when it was closed down. "Alright kid, I'm heading out. Here's the keys and make sure to turn off everything. Lock the door too. Don't want a repeat of what happened last time do we?" She chuckled and I smiled softly. I waved at her as she walked out the door. I looked around at the empty arcade, feeling my veins with pure happiness.

I played every game at least once before leaving. My favorite was the air hockey one but obviously I had no one to play with so I would put a stuffed whale at the other end. Thats how it was for years on end up until now. I jumped at the sudden buzz of my phone on my lap, slapping me back into reality.

Mina: Yo, we're inside!!

I shoved my phone in my back pocket. I stepped into the arcade place, in complete awe. The bright beautiful lights really filled me with pure joy. "Y/n! Over here honey!!!" Mina yelled, Uraraka smiling brightly, waving. I walked over to them and they grabbed my arm, yanking me down next to them. "You look so cute! Who are you dressing up for huh?" Mina said, wiggling her eyebrows and winking at me a couple of times. I gave her a confused look but Uraraka patted Mina's shoulder, "Mina likes to pair people up and she ships people a lot." I chuckled, nervously. So she wants to ship me with someone? But I haven't met any guy besides Bakugou who hates my guts, Todoroki and Midoriya but I suspect there's something going on between them and them Tokoyami but I think he didnt even get a good look at me so I doubt he is one Mina will ship me with.

"Oh, great. What an amazing sight to see." I heard Uraraka say, looking at the entrance of the arcade. I turned around and saw Bakugou and a purple haired guy next to him. "Bakugou! Hi! Come sit with us!!" Mina yelled from not even ten feet away from them. I jumped a little cause it was so unexpected. Uraraka pinches the bridge of her nose and closed her eyes. Bakugou walked over to us, I looked away before he said anything insulting to me just for looking at him "weird."

"Bakugou! What a surprise. Shinso my love hello! I haven't seen you in like weeks. I missed your tired beautiful face of yours." Mina said, I looked at Shinso and he looked at me. I scooted over for them to sit down. "Here sit down." I said, quietly and Shinso gave me a small smile, sitting down next to me and Bakugou next to him. Mina rambled on and on, everybody practically dozing off a bit. "Oh this is great! Shinso have you met Y/n? She wonderful! She's pretty too! Don't you think she's pretty?" Mina asked, giving a smirk towards Shinso. I was stiff like a rock after she said that, I looked at him and he was looking at me. "She is." Shinso said, making me blush lightly.

Mina shrieked causing Bakugou to give off little explosions. "Shut up Mina! Stop with your screaming or I'm gonna blow up this whole place!" Bakugou snapped, Mina giggled. They talked back and forth, Bakugou being rude as always, Mina smiling brightly and Uraraka was partaking in the conversation as well. Me and Shinso were the quiet ones though. We order drinks a couple of minutes ago so we were just sitting there quietly waiting for them to come. Once the did, we were just sipping our drinks. "You bored, Y/n?" Shinso asked, taking me off guard a bit. I looked at him and nodded as I took a sip from my drink.

"Cmon then let's go play some games then." He said, I nodded. Bakugou got up, yelled at Shinso for "annoying" him but Shinso just kept walking. We walked past many of the games and I was in pure awe, pointing at a couple and squealing a bit in my mind. "Wanna play my favorite one?" He asked, and I nodded. We turned a corner and I saw the best thing ever. An air hockey table. I stopped in my tracks, "no way."

"What? He asked, walking to the other side of the table.

"This is my favorite game too." I said, with a smile, making his cheeks turn a light shade of pink. He gave a half smile, putting coins in the game, and walking towards my side. He placed the coins in and walked back to his side. "So, Y/n, tell me stuff about you." He said, the game starting.

"What is there to tell? Not much really." I shrugged, he chuckled. Total side not but, his chuckle was the cutest thing ever. "There's always something to share. Let's start with: how was your day?" He asked, as we hit the puck a couple of times until I scored.

"Um maybe that I rule at this game?" I said, he chuckled again. He ran his hands through his hair. "I like you. You're different. A good different." I smiled, feeling the tips of my ears turning red and hot. "Shinso! Get your as over here! We're leaving cause Mina is being annoying with her stupid ass shrieking!!" I looked at Shinso and he sighed loudly. "It was nice meeting you Y/n. Maybe next time you can show me your tricks in air hockey? It would be amazing." Shinso said, waving at me as he walked towards Bakugou who was being hugged by Mina.

Oof what a chapter. I made it a bit longer cause this is where lovely Shinso comes in. He is such a beauty. Anyways, I hope you are enjoying the book so far.

School is almost starting for me. Junior year is gonna be a rollercoaster ride I think. But nonetheless, I will continue writing chapters.
