[Winter's POV]
*new text message from unknown number*
-Hey I don't know what that was in the hall that wasn't me..
-that was my twin brother
-Jp
-yeah we've switched places when we got into the building
- and he did that. Weird, right?
And the texts kept coming. I knew they were from Pj and they freaked me out so I finally replied:
-Okay. Now how the fuck did you get my number?
*new text message from unknown number*
-sorry?
-oh this is PJ
I replied
-Yes I know but how did you get my number?
*new text message from unknown number*
-Phil gave it to me
I'm going to kill Phil. What has he done? I see I'm not escaping this so I just reply:
-I'm going to sleep. Goodbye. Do not text me._.
And I delete the file of his texts. And put my phone on do not disturb.
*next morning*
[Pj's POV]
I don't know what I was thinking last night. But it's all in the past now. Winter is just my friend. Friend. ....friends. Oh I hate that. Whatever, better that we're friends than enemies or strangers.
I've got to get my mind off of it. I'm going to go down the road to that craft shop to get some supplies for my next video. But I really want to stay in today. I could always do it tomorrow.. No Pj, you go out there and get the things you need.
*At the shop*
Seems they moved everything around and I can't find anything I need.
"Um, excuse me? Miss?" I ask and tap the shoulder of a woman standing in the aisle with me.
She turns around and it was actually Winter to my surprise.
"What the fuck?! Are you following me now? Jesus, kid!" She exclaims.
"Collins! Don't talk to the costumers like that. One more crack like that and I'll boot you out." The old man at the cash register says to her.
I chuckled and crossed my arms then looked at her in her tan chinos and her tucked in maroon polo.
She glares at me and says "Shut the f-"
"Collins!" The man warns again.
"I was saying... shut the... front door sir it's quite chilly outside today. Now what would you like help with, sir?" She corrects her self with a forced smile.
"Hot glue guns?" I ask with a more than apparent smirk on my face.
"Oh yes that's in the back of the store. Let me take you there." She says sweetly then tugs my arm and drags me to the back of the store.
"Your first day? ....Collins?" I tease.
"Shut your stupid fucking face alright. Why are you here? Are you stalking me now because-"
"I'm just here for some hot glue guns," I interrupt putting my hands up. "I always go to this store for supplies. The only thing new in this equation is you."
She stares me down with her now cold amber eyes. And then she shakes her head.
"The glue guns are up there," She says pointing to the top shelf. "I'll get them for you."
"Are you sure don't want me to get it? I'm taller than you." I ask when I saw her struggling.
"Look, I got it. I don't need your help." she retorts as she starts jumping up for it.
"What are you like four foot eleven?" I tease again.
"Fuck off, human tree. I'm actually five foot three for your information. And I said I got it." She tells me as she starts climbing the shelves.
She gets to the box of them and says "See what did I tell you?"
She starts climbing down when her foot slips on one of the shelves. She screams and falls backwards onto me.
"You literally take the piss out of helping someone." I mock her as I laugh.
She starts to laugh to and turns her self around on me. Our eyes locked for a second but then she just said 'here's your glue guns' and got up.
I really don't know what I'm doing anymore. But I just got up and payed for my stuff and left.
Friends. Remember. Friends.
I'll just isolate myself from her until I get myself under control and I am ready to be friends. Friends. This is going to be harder than I thought. I'm just going to work on the video all day.
The knock at my door caught me by surprise because I wasn't expecting anyone. But I looked through the door scope to see who it was and it was Winter.
Friends. I remind myself and open the door.
"Winter? Are you stalking me?" I ask leaning on the door frame with a sarcastic tone in my voice.
She gives me that 'I don't have time for your shit' look she always give me before saying "Is it alright if I borrow your tv?"
"Um why would that be ok and what's wrong with yours?"
"Because we're friends? Look, can I borrow your tv or not?" She says.
I open the door more and let her in.
"It's over there." I point.
I went into my kitchen and heard a ruckus.
"What the hell d'ya think you're doing!?" I say as I watch her unplug and try to take my tv.
"First you question our friendship, now you're asking why I'm borrowing your tv. Christ, guy." She says defensive.
"I said you could borrow it not take it?!" I say concerned.
"I am borrowing it. I'm talking it to my house then returning it."
"Why don't you just watch it here?"
"Ugh fine." She says plugging it back in.
I give her a confused look before going into the kitchen again.
"I'm watching a movie do you want to watch it with me?"
"Uh sure?"
We were both under a blanket watching God knows what then her head rested on my shoulder. I put my arm around her and she took my hand into hers and interlocked our fingers.
It was getting later into the night like around 11. We were still holding hands and I brushed my thumb over her's a and she turned to me. She looked at me a way I've never seen her look at me. I looked at her lips and then at her golden eyes. She did the same to me.
I smelt something burning.
I woke up in a pile of work on my kitchen table, disappointed but not surprised. I left the hot glue gun on so that explains the burning smell.
I have no idea what this girl is doing to me. I have no idea what I am doing with myself.
Knocks at the door with "Hey? Peej?" stifled through the door.
Winter?
