The next day I jump out of bed and slip into my costume, which is a blue glimmering gymnast suit with green stripes across. I pin my hair up in a tight bun, grab my bag that contains my iPod and dance shoes, and put on a coat and leggings. Finally, I go to my dance studio.
I arrive and run into my dance room, where I will have exactly 18 minutes to practice. Slipping off my extra clothes, I stretch, and go into the routine.
When I start, I just can't stop. Twirling, jump! Double backflip... I continue until I realize I have been dancing for 13 minutes and
have 5 minutes to pack up.
At the large studio, farther away from mine, the dancing begins. I watch a young girl about my age doing really amazing tricks... I get a little nervous. I hear girls whispering to each other how they are "So totally getting in".
After about 12 contestants dance, my name gets called.
I walk out with a wide smile on my face, and the music starts. Using all my balance, energy, and muscles, I make it through the dance. It feels like forever until I finish.
There are about 30 girls- all from my studio, auditioning and only 20 make it into nationals... at regionals I remember how I danced perfectly and we had won... I don't know this time. There will be newer wow factors, better dancers, and the studios we are competing against are really good.
"All dancers from Star Dance Academy please step forward." The loud voice in the microphone makes me jump from my daydream.
I step forward to the mats, and cross my fingers, hoping for my name to be called. A lot of great dancers I had watched are called, so is the girl. My chances of getting in now feel really low.
But then I hear it.

Oh and now I cant make the 2nd chapter for a while because my computer is acting up! :(
