A Mermaid Tail (Papyrus x mermaid reader)

A/n. I know it's a great title 😂

"What should we do? The blankets and fire clearly aren't enough to heat her up!" A muffled voice rang out "well I uh heard that a warm bath helps we could um try that?" A deeper mufffled voice said "why are you so hesitant brother?" The voice was Papyrus and the other must be his brother hmm Sans I think it was, " well she's not conscious yet and umm she needs to be undressed to bathe..." Sans's voice said more clearly "umm also I think we should move the blankets off of her face, she probably needs to breathe heheh" as he said that I realised that's why things were muffled I had several layers of fluffy blankets layed on top of me and I couldn't see anything or breathe that well, then I saw two bony hands pulling the blankets off of my face revealing blinding light and then two skeletons looking at me in a concerned way  "human are you alright? Would you like a bath?" Papyrus questioned me, I appreciated his concern  it was kinda cute how he cared for me, "well I can't move that well" I whispered hoarsely, at least it didn't hurt as much when I spoke now, "I THE GREAT PAPYRUS SHALL HELP YOU NYEHEHEHE!" He suddenly raised his voice letting me know that was probably his normal voice and he was just being polite before then I realised that there was two big things wrong with his sentence "uhh Papyrus you probably sho-woah" I was cut off my him picking me up bridal style and taking me upstairs I couldn't explain it but I felt safe in his arms as if nothing could harm me, "Paps!!!" I heard sans shout from downstairs, he then ran up the stairs to confront his brother "Paps you can't just make her bathe and you can't help her either!" He stated "why every not?" Papyrus asked in his quiet tone "well humans, girls in particular (because the have boobs as well not because they're more 'sensitive' or some bs) have erm.... parts that are quite private to them" I wanted to laugh at how awkward Sans was explaining this to Papyrus especially since I was right there still in Papyrus's arms, I managed to move my arms and legs slowly to warm them up it just felt like pins and needles everywhere which wasn't pleasant but not entirely bad, Sans was finishing his explanation to Papyrus, Papyrus just looked confused in the cutest way "AHA I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND... nyeh" he wasn't too convincing "SO HUMAN THESE ARE PRIVATE THINGS, IF SO WHY ARE YOU WEARING SOMETHING THAT SHOWS THEM OFF?" as he said that he poked my boob causing me to gasp in shock " p p papyrus you don't touch them" Sans stuttered in embarrassment "OH DEAR MY APOLOGIES HUMAN" Papyrus blushed... orange? "It's fine you didn't know Papyrus, and this is um just the outfit I have on today nothing um special or anything haha" the outfit was special in fact, it appears after I change back into a human, "a bath would probably help a lot I'll manage being by myself don't worry guys!" I reassured them both with a smile and they left, Papyrus said something about making spaghetti and Sans was going to nap as per usual.

I stripped off my clothes slowly as I was still sore, Papyrus had helped me up before he left, I placed my clothes in a neat pile on the floor and turned on the hot water and cold water then waited for the tub to fill up checking the temperature every few minutes by placing my hand close but not to close to the water. 3 minutes   Until  the bath is hot enough...  2 minutes   Until  the bath  is hot enough...    1 minute   Until the bath   Is hot enough.....  the bath is ready (a/n I had to I couldn't help it)
I  got up from sitting on the closed toilet, I got up too fast and my legs couldn't support my weight and buckled under pain and pressure making a loud thump, I cringed because I knew I couldn't get up myself and I WAS BUTT NAKED, there was a loud knock at the door "HUMAN ARE YOU ALRIGHT!" Papyrus spoke he sounded very worried about me

"Yeah I'm ok Papyrus I just fell" I reassured him "CAN YOU GET UP?" He asked back "umm not really" I replied sheepishly "SANS GET IN THERE AND HELP THE HUMAN" I heard him call out  "wait no don't!" I cried out desperately, too late Sans appeared with a hand over his eye sockets ,thank god, and he offered another hand in the complete opposite direction "over here bone head" I said "oh right sorry I can't see haha" he mumbled as he walked to my direction and took off his hoodie then gave it to me to cover up for the time being then he removed his hand from his eye sockets and picked me up removed his jacket from me while closing his eye sockets then placed me in the bath where I hid in the bubbles "thanks Sans" I called out but he was already gone.

I finished my bath and was feeling suitably warmed up as I drained the water and grabbed my towel next to the bath to dry my tail and the rest of my body, my tail finally split and changed into legs and I got out of the bath, I dried myself off and wrapped the towel around my hair then got changed into my old clothes, I opened the door of the bathroom to see Papyrus standing there eagerly with a S̵̯̥͉̖̭̤̝̑̾̽̂̏͊̀́̅͘ͅẃ̴̠̬̯̀̅͑̔̓̌͒̓́̋̾͆͋̕e̸̢̡̤̖͕̲͓͐͑̄̋̑͌̈́̇̋͋́̽͘͝e̶͉̫̋̏̆̿͒̈̈́̀͘ț̴͙͍̯̰̱̼̮͈̻͉̮̣̞͗̔ smile on his face  "I MADE SPAGHETTI IT IS DOWNSTAIRS COME WITH ME" he said as he picked me up again and rushed us downstairs as I giggled while holding onto him as he held onto me tight "jeez paps be careful" I heard Sans say from the kitchen "hehehehe it's fun Sans I don't mind!" I said while giggling he didn't respond. "TAKE A SEAT HU- *gasp* I NEVER ASKED YOUR NAME HOW RUDE OF ME!" He  said as he put me down "oh my name is y/n" I replied "WHAT A LOVELY NAME!" He beamed at me as I blushed "Now I shall get you a plate of spaghetti" he said with a quieter voice "I love spaghetti!" I gasped excitedly "nyeh! Me too" Papyrus stated the obvious "I figured haha" I laughed awkwardly.
I looked at the plate of spaghetti Papyrus had just placed in front of me
"It looks good... what's in it?" I asked hesitantly, the spaghetti looked a bit off.

"PURRRRE FLAVOUR!" He stated while rolling the R in pure, this didn't make me feel any better but I picked up my fork and tasted some.

"Wow it's.... really good!" I was really surprised that it tasted so good!

"Of course it is THE GREAT PAPYRUS MADE IT!" Papyrus stood up and his scarf blew out behind him while he posed dramatically.

"You need to stop hanging out with that rusty piece of garbage" Sans muttered angrily.

I sat and ate my spaghetti quietly while the two brothers argued about this Mettaton person, Papyrus then turned to me.

"Human I mean y/n are you in need of a drink?" He asked.

"Now that you mention it I am thirsty" I replied.

"We do not have much since skeletons do not really drink is water ok with you?" He asked politely.

"Uh sure yeah" I said sleepily, it had been a long day and I needed sleep.

Papyrus disappeared into the kitchen to get me a glass of water as I lazily made my way to the sofa, I sat down with a small thump noise and slouched to get comfy.
"I have returned with your water!" Papyrus announced while handing it to me.

"Thanks Pap*yawn*yrus"

I held the water slackly in my hand and raised it to my mouth to take a sip, then proceeded to drop the glass and let all the water spill over me, needless to say I was wide awake and running upstairs to the bathroom to lock myself inside, but then Papyrus grabbed me around the waist to stop me from going any further.

"PAPYRUS LET GO OF ME" I yelled my eyes glowing f/c.

He looked hurt at my sudden outburst and released me, I opened the bathroom door then slammed it shut and locked it behind me just in time.

A/n ooh you hurt Cinnabuns feelings mwahahha anyway hope you liked this chapter I always aim for more that 1000 words so these should be long enough, I aimed to split up the paragraphs more thanks to _Wicca_ for the great advice!
