A Mermaid Tail (Papyrus x mermaid reader)

I was currently laying on the bathroom floor helplessly as I waited for my legs to return.
Being a mermaid really sucked sometimes, I couldn't be near water most of the time and had to be super careful all the time it was super annoying.
I sighed, I hated the look on Papyruses face when I yelled, I felt so bad but I was desperate for him to not find out about me being a mermaid. I would apologise later after my legs came back... I waited for a few minutes Until my legs finally came back then I unlocked the door and stepped outside the bathroom quietly.
I made my way downstairs my feet padding softly against the carpet.
"Y/n are you alright?" Papyrus asked, he had clearly been waiting for me.
"Yeah I'm alright, uh sorry for shouting at you" I apologised.
Papyruses smile grew wider as he stepped towards me.
"Hey what are you doing?" I asked slightly panicked.
"Did you think you could get away with shouting at the great Papyrus?!" He asked making me more confused as he stepped closer. He reached his hands out as I closed my eyes, I began to laugh as he began tickling me mercilessly.
"Papyrus...stop..it...hahaha" I said through giggles.
"Nyeh heh heh!" He laughed as he picked me up and continued tickling me, since his hands are made of bone he got a bit rough even though he didn't mean to,
"Hahah-Ow" I grimaced as it started to hurt.
"Oh dear I'm sorry y/n" Papyrus said with a guilty face, it broke my heart.
"No it's ok it's not your fault Papy" he blushed at the nickname.
"Do you want to go on a walk with me?" He asked sweetly.
"Sure but isn't it quite late?" I replied
"That is of no concern! The Great Papyrus will protect us from any harm!" He was so confident, I couldn't say no to that face.
"Ok lets go! It sounds fun!" I chirp.
"nope you're not going out it's wayy to late" sans all of a sudden appears.
"Nyoo hoo hoo! Fine I will be going to bed then!" Papyrus said clearly upset at his brother.
"Look what you did Sans!" I hissed at him, then he just disappeared in a flash of blue.
I decided to head upstairs to check on Papyrus. I knocked on his door.
"Papyrus?" I asked when he didn't respond.
"..." no response, I sigh, defeated.
"I'm going for a walk... if anyone cares" I call out feeling the weight of depression hang over me, I hadn't felt this bad in a while. I slowly make my way downstairs and grab my phone, I look into the kitchen and see the knives glinting 'it would be so easy to just- no what am I thinking!' I turn away from the kitchen and grab my headphones then head out the door.

I take a step into the crunchy snow and instinctively shiver, the last time I was here alone in the snow I nearly froze to death 'at least I won't transform into a mermaid this time since I have shoes' I thought half grimly half humorous. I continue walking through Snowdin town, it looks like a friendly happy place in daylight but at night it looks... ominous. I smack my forehead in annoyance ' I'm so dumb I brought my phone and headphones for a flipping reason' I pulled them out of my pockets and scrolled through my playlist finally choosing a Melanie Martinez song (A/N sorry if you don't like Melanie but I thought the song was good so play it now cause who can be bothered typing the lyrics "better authours than you" SHUT UP)

I hummed along to the melancholy start then began singing the chorus

"Bittersweet bittersweet tragedy ee-EEh Aaah-aaaah when I'm sitting all alone your right in front of me eeeeh-eeeeH!" I hit every note perfectly, never missing a beat. I almost felt like crying, the song always made me extremely emotional.

I looked through my playlist again and chose 'cut my hair' by Mounika. I walked and just hummed to the beat since I don't know all the lyrics yet. more songs went by as I walked and the minutes slipped by until.

" OH MY GOD YES I LOVE THIS SONG!" I yelled by accident. I couldn't help it it was my favourite song of all time 'Fuck a Silver Lining' by Panic! At The Disco.

I cleared my throat preparing to sing my absolute heart out.
