You turned the radio on whilst driving home from work and put on your favourite station. The host was reading out song requests that were devoted to someone special to them. All of sudden you heard your name. "Now this is a new song that the one and only Patrick Stump had written himself and has asked us to play it for the one girl he loves, y/n. He says he's sorry for what he did and had written this for you if you're listening. Here's 'The "I" in Lie' ". You were very confused and all the hurt feelings came right back as it began to play. "It was electric from the moment they crossed paths". You thought that lyric and about how Patrick used to describe that to friends when telling them how he met you. Your nose twitched as you sobbed incompetently but you were determined to not let this get to you anymore, you were done being hurt. 'I put the "I" in lie, 'cause I'm a cheat..cheat..cheat'. As the song played, you thought about how he used to say to you that he hated being the reason people were upset but if it was that easy to just forgive him you would've done at the start. You've just needed time to think and be alone. Still reluctant to admit to yourself that you'll always be in love with him only. 'And it's just lust, nothing to write home about'. He'd really thought about the lyrics.
