Red sari...White n red chura on hands.. pinch of red vermilion in parting hairs..n black thread named mangalsutra...everything is perfect. She looked at her image on mirror n to be honest she herself couldn't recognise it. She is really looking like a newly wed bride. But everything is fake..she have stopped asking herself the question "why she is doing this to herself".

"whoa..u are looking really preety" exclaimed kaustuki..

"does it matter?" sanyukta asked.

"obviously..tu agar aise 24 hours sir k aas pass rahegi to vidushi to kya wo deepika padukone ko v bhul jayenge" kaustuki teased.

"haha..very funny..first of all sir is not like those playboys..he really love vidushi..n 2nd this I have accepted this drama as my task given by him..its nothing more than a duty..kisi fancy dress competition k ready hone jaisa feel ho raha hai mujhe"

"aur tere dil ka kya, n let me remember you darling Randhir Singh Shekhawat doesn't love anybody except his parents n dadi...he just want to marry vidushi for her status n property, Maine suna hai k vidushi ek lauti beti hai mittal khandan ki aur agar randhir sir se vidushi ki shadi ho gayi to mittal industries v to unke honge na?" kaustuki asked

"mere dil ka kya? Mere dil ka kuch nhi...its just my job..u stop looking much into it n sir's personal life n decisions are not of my concern..unki marzi wo jis se shadi kare." sanyukta said irritatingly.

Sanyukta's ph rang breaking the silence.. "yes sir..m ready..okay sir..i will be downstairs in minute"

"kaustuki..he is here..wish me luck..n take care..i will come soon" sanyukta said as she hugged her bestfriend.

"Don't fall for him sanyu..he is not good for your health" kaustuki warned.

"I won't.." sanyu promised n walked out of the room.

Here randhir was waiting on his car in front of sanyukta's apartment. His face shows no emotion..he hated himself for doing this..he do not like lying to his jaan..his dadi but he had no any other option. It was not like that he love vidushi..he don't even know the meaning of love but he can't let go the advantages that vidushi can bring to him. He never let any girl come closer to him emotionally..he knows no emotion have the power to control him...but when she walked in clad in a simple red sari, his all thoughts evaporated for a sec.

"I guess I just did a horrible mistake" his heart said.

                                #####

"Good morning sir" sanyukta greeted him as everyday.

"Morning sanyukta..ready for the show?" he asked with a faint smile.

"Do I have any option?" she replied.

"well sanyukta...first of all call me randhir n ab se no aap..main nhi chahta ke dadi ko thoda sa v shaq ho hamare ummm arrangement ke baare main" he fumbled a lil..he didn't know what name should given to their relationship..

"okay sir...i mean randhir"

"All i want from you is dadi's happiness.. tumhe kisi v chiz ki zarurat ho u can ask me..its your task to impress dadi n make her happy n let me tell u my dadi is not so easy one to please". He cleared.

"i will try my best.."

Rest of the ride went in silence.. sanyukta was lost in her thoughts n randhir couldn't help but look at her beautiful face more than once. Their car stopped in front of shekhawat Mansion.. It was so grand n beautiful.

Sanyukta admired the view, then she heard him saying, "wear this" Randhir was holding a diamond ring.

"what is this?"

"its a ring"

"I know that..but why I need to wear it?"

"Coz my dadi is too intelligent to find out that U are not wearing any engagement ring..so wear it"

Sanyukta took it n tried to slid in but it was tight.

"give me ur hand..let me try" he took her hand n insert the ring forcefully.

She winced in pain and before Sanyukta could say anything randhir get out of the car. Sanyukta looked at the ring adorning her beautiful finger.

"sanyukta come out..they are here" randhir said open her side of door.

As she stand beside him, randhir slide his hand in her waist n bring her closer, making her grasp the air n murmured "get use to it".

Both of them avoided the electricity that ran as their skin collide.
