Flashback.

Hospital :

" I will drop you dead in front me. I will kill you Captain Shikhawat."

Graduation day :

She was hurrying away in the corrider in anger, he was running to keep up.

Raj : Please, just...listen to me once.

She turned, eye flashing in anger.

Naina : Please Captain Shikhawat. Please main aapse keh rahi hu.
Aapko samajh nai aata?
Just...stay away from me and my family.
You had no right to try to talk to my parents about Bhaiyya.
Aap ko pata hai kitne traumatised hai wo log?

Aap...kyu aajate hai baar baar hamare saamne?

Raj : Naina tumse kuch important baat karni. Please.

Naina : Oh stop it Captain. Stop these stupid excuses to talk to me.
Its pathetic.

Raj : Naina Naveen...

Naina : (bitterly) :
Please! Mat lijiye bhaiyya ka naam. You could have saved him.
So what even if he asked you to kill him.
You could have declined.
Kya hota?
Jail hoti na?
He would have been alive. And free once we had all the proofs.

Raj stood there, unable to explain, unable to put what he knew, into words.

And in the silence that followed, she turned and left.

Her second posting at Pune.

Rajveer : Naina tum jaisa samajh rahi ho utna straightforward nahi tha.
Kahi siire hai.
Everything and everyone is not black and white.
Dammit why can't you listen to me?
If we work together, it'l be easier.
I can't do this alone.

Naina : Mai chahti bhi nahi hu sir k aap is case se jude rahe.
I can handle it alone.
Just...go away. If i never see you again, it'l be too soon.

She turned and left.

He had not tried to contact her after that.

Flashback 2.

Officer 1 : Captain chauhan, we believe Captain Rajveer is involved in the illegal going ons that he is himself investigating.
We want you to keep an eye on him, for the safety of the nuclear triggers.

Abhi looked at him in disbelief.
Obviously he was either lying, or misinformed.
He was determined to find out which.
Thus he accepted the assignment, not because he did not trust Raj, but because he was worried for him.

Present.

She ran up to the ward where he was kept.
Tied was more like it.

Guards at the gate stopped her.

"You need clearance to go in."

She showed him her id.
He let her in.

She walked up to him.
He was lying there, uncomfortable and half consious, his wrists red and raw from being cuffed to the bed.

Tears welled up in her eyes, as his hazel met hers.

Both were teary, his from extreme pain, hers from seeing him so.

"Please....Naina.
Please. ....You..you said you wanted me dead.
So ...do it....please..kill me."

His words came out tiredly, in almost a whisper.

Yet Naina couldn't hear anything else, for days, over their sound.
