My name is Jim, I'm going to war with an army called the covenant. I am an ODST and so is my friend Mark. Our first mission is to go into the mother ship, retrieve intel, decode the intel and return it to Sargent Johnson. '

I wrote on the first page of my journal. I was supposed to write all my missions in the log but I barely did any. An alarm clock rang. "Oh! I'm almost late for the mission!" I shouted in surprise. I took my mesh suit and slipped it on just overtop my clothes. I put on some gloves and my armour boots as I ran to the armoury to meet with Mark. He was waiting for me with all his armour ob except his helmet. He had brown green eyes a small nose and short brown hair. "I've waited for you about 20 minutes!" Mark yelled as he put on his hemet. It had a scratch just where the eye would be. It had a camera to record what he does on the missions. I was suiting up when our drop pods opened for us to deploy. I grabbed my sniper rifle and SMG and got in my pod. Mark had a shotgun and SMG. The visor of my helmet went pitch black then a HUD appeared. In the top right corner I could see Mark and hear him. I heard a countdown. "3... 2... 1 DROP!" And we fell out of the base right on top of the mothership. I kicked my pod open and ran out. Out of the corner of my eye I saw marks drop pod in opened. I raced back to help him. Our transmitters turned on. "Agh! Its stuck! Jim! Help!" Mark screamed. There was a dent in his drop pod so it couldn't open. In the back there was a crowbar for situations like these. I smashed open the glass and grabbed the crowbar. I tried as hard as I could but it wouldn't open. Then I thought I could just brake the glass. I smashed and smashed trying to get him out when finally it broke. "Thanks. I was stuck in there because when we dropped it didn't fully drop me and I had to shake it to escape." Mark explained "Well get over it. We still have a mission to do!" We ran to the centre of the mothership the slid inside. We crouched down and snuck around the ship. There was a high class elite. Mark took out his knife and jammed it through his neck. Slowly he brought him back and whispered "That intel better be good, these are field marshals! They are only commanded by an Arbiter. With the Arbiter there is a Prophet, and also honour guards." 'The Arbiter' I thought. It brought back horrid memories. We clashed once, I failed to win, but he failed to kill me. He left me without a right leg. I looked down too my leg.
