*1 year later*

I open up the newspaper as I continue to rock Nashi to sleep. She slowly shuts her eyes as I continue to rock back and forth. Familiar faces pop up as I open the paper. Fairy Tail! The day I left is the day Natsu decided to leave Fairy Tail to train and a few days later Fairy Tail disbanded. I read the headline "Fairy Tail is Back!" I smile at the thought of everyone being back together. A tear runs down my face. One of happiness and complete sadness. I move my hand over the picture of my family. Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lisanna, everyone. I just wish that I could be there with them. I look down at Nashi and then back to the picture. "I'm sorry everyone, but I can't come back," I whisper as if they can hear me. If I went back then Nashi and all of Fairy Tail would be in danger and I can't let that happen.

It's been nine years since I've been away from Fairytail.  I miss everyone so much and it takes everything in me not to go back.  There's no way they would forgive me for disappearing this long without a word.  I walk into Nashi's room and sit down beside her bed, "Can I tell you a story?" I ask Nashi as she looks up at me.

"Sure," Nashi looks at me, confused.  It's been a while since I've told Nashi a bedtime story.

"Once upon a time..." I begin my story, but I don't have time to continue as a knock sounds at my door. Who would be knocking at my door this late? I stand up and head towards my door, but before I can get there it flies across the room. I freeze and look towards the three people standing in my doorway. The three people that were in my room 17 years ago.

"What do you want?" I say as they walk into my house with smirks on their faces.

"It's time for you to come with us." I step back.

"Mom?" I turn around to see Nashi standing at her bedroom door, looking straight at the guys who just sent my front door flying. Without my keys I am completely useless so there's not much I can do. I turn around and bend down to meet Nashi's eyes. There's only one place that she will be safe at. A place that will welcome her and treat her just like family.

"Here," I hand Nashi a letter that I've kept in my pocket for so long. One I've written over and over again. Scribbled on the front is the name: Natsu. "This is for an old friend of mine," I put my arms around Nashi and pull her into a hug as I whisper into her ear. "Go to Fairytail. You'll be safe there." I say to her before a hand grabs onto me and pulls me away. The girl that took my keys begins to walk up to Nashi, but I refuse to let them get any closer to her. "Nashi run!" I yell as I elbow the guy holding onto me. He lets go of me giving me a chance to tackle the girl that's going after Nashi.

*Nashi*

I watch mom tackle the girl that was coming towards me. Keys slide across the floor and land in front of me. I reach down to pick them up. "Go now! And take the keys with you, keep them safe." My mom says as she pins the girl on the ground.

"No! I can fight," I start to build up my magic.

"Nashi!" Mom yells at me with complete terror in her eyes, "This is not your fight." She says to me as I feel her release some of her magic. Magic she doesn't direct at the enemy, but to the keys in my hand.  A light appears and as it fades, a man stands in front of me.  He's in a suit with orange hair.

"Loki, get her out of here," My mom says to the man as the guy behind her grabs her hair, "please..." The defeat in her voice breaks me. The man in front of me, Loki, looks from me to my mom. "Please'," she says again and I can see the pain written all over his face as he turns back to me.  He grabs me and throws me over his shoulder as he lifts his free hand towards the enemy, a bright light shooting towards the enemy.  I cover my eyes, the light nearly blinding.

"We're here," I open my eyes to see the train station in front of us.  Loki sits me down.

"What..." I don't get to finish my sentence.

"We don't have much time." Loki says to me, he points to the keys, "take these with you and keep them safe. This train will take you exactly where you need to go." Loki begins to fade and within a few seconds he is gone.
