3. Fairy Tail

*Nashi*

After a few hours the train comes to a stop at a place called Magnolia.  I get my belongings and step off the train, hopefully this is where Fairytail is.

*Natsu*

"We're back!" I kick in the double doors at the guild. Everyone's so lively like usual, but something seems to be missing. I look around the room as memories come flooding back. Memories of Lucy as she picks out a job and shows it to me and Happy. Memories of us hanging out and talking about our next job. Why hasn't she come back yet. It's been six years now since I've seen Lucy. I hope she's okay. Why hasn't she come back yet.

"Um... excuse me?" I turn around to see a young girl with salmon-colored hair just like mine. I bend down and stare at her, intently. Her brown eyes look so familiar. I sniff the air and catch a familiar scent, too, but I've never met this girl before. I'm sure of it. "Is this Fairy Tail?" The girl asks.

"Well of course it is. What else would it be?" Storm walks past her. He's just like Gray. 

"A place for idiots like you." The little girl says back and I can't help but chuckle as Storm turns to the girl.

"What did you say?" Storm steps closer to her. 

"You heard me." This girl has got guts, that's for sure. She stands her ground.

"Storm, are you causing trouble again." Erza walks up from behind me and Storm's tenses up. Erza walks to the girl and looks down with that intimidating look of hers, but it doesn't seem to faze the girl. "Is there anything we can help you with?" She asks.

"I have a job request," The girl says as tears start to run down her face, "But I don't have any money." The girl wipes her eyes as she looks up at me and Erza, "They took my mom."

"Who?" I quickly ask. 

"I don't know. I was told that Fairy Tail would help me." She wipes her tears and looks up at me and Erza. "Please save my mom. I don't have any money, but I will do anything. Please, she's all I have." I know the feeling. I'm going to help find this girls mom no matter what.

*Nashi*

I told these people everything I know, which is nothing. I wish I knew more. "You should get some rest now my child." I look up at the man they call Gramps. I am really tired, but I don't have time to rest. I have to help them find my mom. "Natsu," Gramps looks at the guy who's eating. The guy that I was talking to earlier. How can he eat at a time like this? "She can stay with you and Happy until we can locate and rescue her mom." It suddenly hits me, the letter mom gave me, it had the name Natsu on it. Does that mean mom knew him? 

"Okay!" Natsu smiles big and jumps up from his seat. He's just like a little kid. Then his smile fades as he looks straight at me, "What's your name?" Oh yeah. I never gave them my name.

"N-Nashi..." I say nervously. I don't even know why giving these people my name makes me so nervous.

"You got to be kidding me Gramps," A mage with black hair steps up, "Natsu doesn't have any idea how to take care of a child."

"What did you say, ice princess." Natsu says to the mage.

"That's enough!" Gramps says as Natsu and the other guy tenses up. "Gray... I've already decided to put Nashi in Natsu's care." Gramps looks at the dark-haired mage and then back at Natsu. Natsu quickly becomes cheerful once again. Did my mom really know these people? They are so weird.

"Well Nashi, let's go." Natsu smiles and heads towards the door. Suddenly a blue cat flies to Natsu's side. 

"Happy!" Natsu says.

"What's going on?" The flying cat can talk. So cool.

"Looks like Nashi's going to be staying with us for a few days. Okay." Natsu smiles at the cat. The cat just nods and I quietly follow them. Still not sure if I can trust them or not. I look back at the guild that stands taller than the rest of the buildings in Magnolia.

"So this is Fairy Tail." I whisper under my breath then turn back around to catch up with Natsu and Happy.
