Keith's mother frowned, glancing at the front door.

"We'll talk about this tomorrow, Keith. Head to bed." She finally stated, cutting the tension with her soft, forgiving voice.

He nodded, pushing the chair in, and made his way to his room.

With a soft sigh, he grabbed his phone and collapsed on his bed.
He turned his phone on, and quickly tapped on his passcode.

He opened his messages, and typed a message to the first person in his contacts.

Me: My dad can suck a dick.

Keith set his phone down on the bedsheets, rising to turn off the lamp that stood next to his mattress.
After doing so, he laid back on his bed, staring at his dark ceiling.

His phone released a ding.

The teen reached to his side, grabbing his phone once again.

Surfer Boy: why? what happened..?

"Oh. So it's Lance." He thought outloud, typing a reply back.

Me: I just fucking hate his guts.

Surfer Boy: you can always talk to me if u need tho

Me: Thanks. That means a lot :)

Surfer Boy: np. see u tm?

Me: Yeah.

Surfer Boy: now go get some sleep, or you'll fall asleep in the water tm! sweet dreams yo

Me: You get sleep too. Goodnight.

The next morning, Keith felt like hell.
He wanted nothing but to stay in bed, but he wound up getting up anyways.

The raven haired boy got ready, and left his room.
The living room was still empty, and the house was quiet.

With a grown, he unlocked his door, and headed to the beach.

He quickly noticed the brunette, and trudged over to him.

Once Lance noticed him, he was quick to speak.
"Morning, sleeping beauty."

"You're so funny." Keith deadpanned, rolling his eyes.

Lance laughed.
"How did you sleep, though?"

"Like absolute shit."

"Well, you don't look like absolute shit."
The taller boy quietly said.

Keith glanced at Lance, his face slowly heating up.

"I.." He trailed off, steadily comprehending the situation.

"You.. don't either." He replied, looking at the ground.

Silence erupted between the two, and if you could look at them both, you'd only see a pair of blushing teenagers, standing in the middle of a beach.

"Well, I know I don't." Lance added, with a chuckle.

And Keith laughed along.
